I finally sorted this out. This is for the Leonard "Bones" McCoy and DeForest Kelley enjoyers out there. These are the songs that just really remind me of him:

LMFAAO
It's my first time seeing this on tumblr. I was curious what this mature image could be cause I haven't been on tumble for a long time... and then....
ITS JUST SPIRK HOLDING HANDS GUYS....
It fucking feels like T'pau reported this post or something 😭😭😭
Bones in the Star Trek Motion Picture movie is fucking beautiful look at him
Thats A M A N
Hes very important to me
Something confusing as hell that I see in a lot of Star Trek fanfics and some art is this insistence that Deforest Kelley's Dr McCoy is 1.thin/skinny, 2. Ugly or just unattractive in some way and 3.the shortest of the trio
I always question if the folk that write these things have actually...watched the damn show.
1. Thin/skinny
Look at those damn arms bro. De was literally in the army before he was acting. This man was playing tough cowboy characters. Starfleet clearly has a standard for physical fitness which is evident in Uhura seeming quite small until the mirror episode reveals her muscles. He does have a slimmer build than Jim and Spock but he is not thin by any means. Granted, McCoy is thinner in the films but this is because Deforest Kelley was most likely already unwell (compare his date and cause of passing to the release of the last film).
2. Ugly???
Chat, are we blind? Suffering from some kind of immense head trauma? Handsome cowboy with pretty blue eyes and you expect me to think he's ugly. He almost immediately gets the attention of the very pretty Natira. Don't even play with me rn.
3. Shorter than Jim and Spock
Jim is actually the shortest but this one I can get cause of certain camera angles. Jim and Bones are close in height but Bones is taller by a little bit. Spock is tall because Leonard Nimoy.jpeg.
Bonus Point: No ass
He's definitely got a bit of tush back there just look at his casual fit in the beginning of wrath of khan. Easy to miss cause he wasn't shoving it in the camera like William 'male femme fatale' Shatner.
Who are these people thinking he’s ugly!!? HELLO???
cant out-aegyo the aegyo-er
While making dinner tonight, I very very fleetingly, but very seriously and legitimately thought “I should watch Goncharov tonight”
And then I Remembered.
That it's no longer on poob?
This is incomprehensible outside of tumblr, i love a well maintained closed ecosystem
Should I remind everyone in 2026 that...
"I have decided to stay with the Enterprise, Captain. If Dr. McCoy is to remain on board, my presence here will be essential."
That's right, your eyesight isn't deceiving you. Spock jokingly says he wants to stay aboard the Enterprise because of McCoy.
But, alas, you won't find this line in "The Motion Picture," as it doesn't appear there. This phrase only appears in Leonard Nimoy's book "I Am Spock"
Our dear Mr. Nimoy explains how "ST:TMP" was created, specifically how they improvised and made numerous edits to improve the storyline. Some changes were accepted, but in most cases, Robert Wise rejected all changes. This was the case with this line.
Here's an excerpt from the book "I Am Spock" showing how it all happened:
***Finally the last day of filming arrived; we were scheduled to shoot the final "tag" scene on the Enterprise bridge. The dialog called for Kirk to tell McCoy that he (the doctor) would be returned to Earth, where he'd been planning to retire. McCoy refuses the offer on the grounds that, once on board, he might as well stay. Kirk then turns to Spock and offers to return him to Vulcan; Spock declares that that is unnecessary, since his business on Vulcan is finished. The implication was that the crew was together again and would fly off together toward the next adventure. It made sense and was a neat wrap-up, but not particularly fun.
In the final rehearsal before filming, I at last heard a Spock voice in my head that captured the right "feel" of the characters and relationships from the series.
So I decided to take a chance. With the cameras rolling and Bob Wise and Gene Roddenberry watching, our scene began in earnest. Kirk delivered his line, and McCoy gave the appropriate response; then Kirk turned to Spock and offered to return him to Vulcan.
And I—or rather, Spock—replied,
"I have decided to stay with the Enterprise, Captain. If Dr. McCoy is to remain on board, my presence here will be essential."
It drew a good laugh on the set—but when I saw the whispered conversation between Gene and Bob Wise behind the camera, I knew it was doomed. Bob walked over with the decision: "The feeling is that the joke is inappropriate in light of what's gone before."
The scene was filmed as written.
SPOCK: Did I say something inappropriate?
NIMOY: No, no, Spock. I think it was a good idea.
SPOCK: Then why was it rejected?
NIMOY: It was an artistic decision. Out of our hands. It might have worked; we'll never know.
SPOCK: A pity.***
To sum it up, we see that Leonard and his inner Spock wanted to recapture the spirit of the show's relationship and emphasized the relationship between Spock and McCoy, no one else. That is, for Nimoy and the Spock he created in his mind, the relationship between the doctor and the Vulcan is the epitome of the original series.
Who would dare say after this that Spones isn't canon?
I COULD’VE HAD THIS!? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!
This is not a delusion anymore. Nimoy wanted this. 🥀🥀🥀
I finished my McCoy illustration!🤩
This is the second part of my own little comic book cover series. I'm really bad at starting and finishing projects like these, and I actually think this is the furthest I've ever gotten!
a lot of my autism masking is just making myself more palatable for other people and my therapist said "does spock make himself 'more palatable' for others?" and had me promise to keep unmasking like:

He looks like he's so done with my shit :( Yes, doc. I'll go drink my water I'm sorry... :((((
Hop on in there, doc
