small headcanon:

always take what orochi says with a grain of salt. the type of relationship you have with him doesn’t matter to him; friend, enemy, lover? none of that matters. if he has to, he will tell you only what you want to hear whether it’s true or not and it’s a common tactic he uses to persuade people into thinking that he is a ‘good’ person or someone you can trust. 

he seeks only to deceive you and use you in any way possible. there is a chance that something he says to you may be true but there is a high chance lies are stitched into his words. there are few if any, beings orochi will be truthful to.
