Inventory screen is now back and better than ever!
Sorry there hasnāt been an update in awhile! I took way too long of a break!
I did however finish the battle and adventure system!
I settled on how movement and time works in the adventure areas, and then i mapped out the layout of the first adventure area. I also did some basic concepts for the monsters and decided on their encounter rates.
Hereās my sleepy puppy as well. Heās very stupid but i love him so much.
Posting this literally everywhere because everyone needs to know how intensely in love with my partner and our life I am. It's been just a little over a year, and I can't imagine my life without them (and the cats and our Squishmallow collection)

In Tender of Stars, youāve been given a chance to escape purgatory by a strange, dice rolling goddess. This cute stat raising life sim focuses on guiding a young spirit wishing to be human, navigating through messy kingdom politics or ignoring them entirely. Your choices will shape her loved ones, her career, her happiness, and maybe even the fate of the kingdom.
If I spent the same amount of time that i did debating which part to work on next as I did actually working on it, the game would be done by now š

Did a little more work with this design, its a little sloppy, and I'm not sure about the art style, but the vague concept brings me joy
did some concept art of the default outfit, so far this is the top contender
Iāve got the inventory and armory basically done.
You can also talk to your daughter now, but she wonāt respond past the first day because iām focusing on getting things working before writing
got the base for the daughters room set up!
the place holder looks abysmal since i havenāt designed the UI yet and the background is a random image from google.
Everything on the page jumps to the correct place, so now i need to work on implementing each of the items on here (except the scheduler because itās already done)
Top left will display the daughters name and the date and the top right will have a calendar. Constructive criticism on the layout is very appreciated!
Started up an old project again and got a lot done. While the graphics are still shoddy placeholders, I have almost the entire opening coded. The main body is still mostly coded from the last time I worked on it as well. It won't be long until the primary focus is the writing/art. So if you're reading this and enjoy princess maker games, I have written the opening cutscene that explains why your characters is given your daughter in the game, and coded picking basically all yout beginning choices your first/last name, your birthday/month, your body type (since you are not the focus 3 basic one just a masculine, feminine, and androgynous form), your profession, what your daughter calls you (mama, papa, other), picking her name, her birthday/month,
and then I've written the scene where you meet your daughter and assistant, and I had already worked out the scheduling system the last time I worked on it
Next up is making a place holder main screen and then attaching the stats to each job/class
