Quick 2 day project I slapped together to flush my creative system. Currently stuck in like a million WIPs and feel like I can’t concentrate on a single one, so did this quick thing to keep my sanity and finish something lol.

Old empty toothpick container that I gave a steampunk makeover - inspired by @auroralion of course. Added a weight inside so that it can actually hold stuff without falling over. Also learned a thing or two on this, namely that gorilla glue causes a white bloom for some reason?? Anyway. Now have a really funky small brush container :> and I love it. Definitely wanna steampunkify more things like this!

Okay! :D It’s taking a decent while, being Mai first posey Zoid, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out so far~

It’s a commissioned Feuer Wolf, and will be painted in metallic red with a gunmetal body and warm gold highlights. Also, LEDs in every joint cap and the cockpit~ of which I have no idea how to do it yet lul

Zoids ZW07 ⚜ "Stardust" Kuwaga

This was a commission for my good friend @the-fourth-survivor~ I love slapping this stardust finish on waaaaaaayy too many Zoids lol, and they wanted a Kuwaga from the new Zoids Wild line with it.

The blue is FolkArt Ice Blue, which is important to paint over white - unless you want to have to paint around 5 million coats lol instead of just 5 thousand. It's soooo pretty though omg. I'm also using it on my Blizzard E Liger!

(Honestly though, this stardust x silver x chrome scheme is becoming a trademark of mine. I uh, have a couple more WIPs and projects with it actually xD; It's just too prettyyyy)

I really wanted to finish this guy before I move in a few days, so here he is! I'm actually really proud of how quickly I got him done haha, with under a week he's definitely Mai fastest custom so far~

I do not apologize for the horrible pun name, which was actually what inspired the entire custom in the first place lol! A Bali-themed Barigator - with all the fancy stuff ( ´｡✪ω✪｡｀)

The green is a chameleon powder that shifts forest green - ocean green - turquoise - blue, with gold drybrushed on top. Oh, and under strong light it's also covered in holographic sparkles! And I just had to add those holo palm tree stickers and some fancy fimo flowers (which turned out way bigger than expected, since I didn't know that Barigator is actually super tiny xD).

I achieved the crackle paint crocodile skin texture by pure chance btw - because as it turns out, spraying acrylic gloss clear over alkyd gloss black will do that! So don't mix these two types of paints unless you want to go for this exact look~

Took a video showing the holo sparkle armor on this buggu. It's nigh impossible to capture how it looks like in real life. It's literally like looking into space - infinitely deep and endless~ ;v;

Zoids D-Style ㉖ ⚜ Shield Liger

Gosh this guy took me way too long. I never wanna detail a D-Style again D: Honestly 50% of the work was spent on just correcting mistakes lol.

Nevertheless, I’m super proud of how he turned out! I’m really glad I decided to detail him. While the original kit is super cute as is, it’s just very... very plain.

The details and flat coat really make him pop now~ (and I just LOVE matte canopies lol!) He’s adorable and he’s my new son.

Did I already advertise Mai Tutorial for De-Yellowing yet? If not, here it is!

I don’t wanna say that I’m proud of my deyellowing skills......but I’m proud of my deyellowing skills lol.

The broken cap on the left is how all the white caps were - yellowed, dirty, and extremely brittle. Deyellowing didn't just turn them back white, but also made them softer again. I unfortunately didn't keep one of the gray caps for comparison, but they were originally BROWN, oily and sticky, and extremely hard and brittle.

Finally finished the head of my D-Style Shieldy that I’ve been working on and off on. Matte canopies are addicting...

Posting this more for the cuteness aspect than anything else LOL.

Should hopefully be able to matte coat the remaining parts tomorrow~

Finished weathering the stand and was finally able to take pictures outside! I cannot stress how much I love him. He’s the crown jewel of my collection now~

Zoids MPZ-01 ⚜ Shield Liger “Anime Ver.”

He’s done!!!!! I’ll do a proper photoshoot with him soon hopefully (if the weather cooperates and once his stand is finished) but I’m too excited to not post him already aaaaaahhh!!! ;U;

Masterpiece Shield Liger that I got semi-painted; I went to town on him with weathering, gunk washes, and battle damage. Some parts were also still stock; such as the canopy, joint caps, leg hydraulics and black parts in general, and the paw connectors. Pic for the state it came in below the break~

I learned a lot doing this and now feel more confident for my gory failed-lab-experiment Deadborder, and weathering in general! And I have a realistic, battle damaged version of my favorite Zoid’s favorite kit, so I’m just super happy :D

So I uh, had an accident with this OJR Battle Cougar. Note to self, don’t soak old chrome, even in just hot soapy water.

Though I’m honestly kind of happy that it happened because... he looks so GOOD??? with ghost parts??? Holy heck I wish I could keep him. At least the recipient is fond of it too, and furthermore, it’ll be a OOAK~ c:
