I subscribed to the Timely Tales on Gumroad and I was wondering whether that only gives me updates to the postings since I have subscribed or whether I can download all 8 that have been released so far?

The subscription entitles you to the next twelve future releases. The previous ones must be purchased individually.

I get really confused about years and timelines - will you be releasing an official timeline at some point?

I don't currently have plans to release an official timeline, no. If some industrious fan wants to cobble together their best estimation, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Will Secret Files Vol 1 be available to non-backers via storenvy at all? Is a print collection of Timely Tales at all planned? Awfully sorry if it's been answered before, there was no definite answer linked on the wiki page.

The Secret Files will definitely be available to non-backers! It won't see a print run for a while, thanks to its size, but the digital version of it will be available within the next couple of months. I was planning to do a print run of the Timely Tales after the first twelve were finished, but last night I started piecing the work together in InDesign...

...and realized that the first six issues are 250 pages just on their own. SO. I'm going to go even more into comic book mode and release the Timely Tales as six-issue arcs. I'm going to either make the print run one of the Retcons backer goals, or open up preorders to fund the run. Opinions are very much welcomed.

Could you explain the Secret Files coupons? I'm a little confused.

I explained them here. Printing a 50-page color book costs as more than printing the 300-page B&W novels. I had much more material than that, and I was afraid that people would be unhappy with such a slim offering.

Have you gotten any returned books from wrong addresses?

Several. Which is kind of a problem, because I have to pay postage twice for them. If your address has changed since the IndieGoGo campaign, PLEASE EMAIL ME. When the books are returned, I try to contact the backer and let them know that their item was not delivered. It will be up to you to pay the shipping cost if your book is returned to me.

Questions about Corbin's powers as relating to progeny! So does he change down to the genetic level when he shifts, and pass those changes in his genetic traits on to his kids? Also, if he were in a shift with a working womb setup, could he carry a baby to term if he stayed in the same shift long enough? And what would happen if he were pregnant and then shifted to a non-womb-having form?

Hypothetically, yes. But it would be INCREDIBLY dysphoric, and all the things could go wrong. If he were more than a few weeks into the pregnancy, shifting to a non-womb-having form would probably end in fatal internal hemorrhaging.

Oh no, Gloria's Timely Tale is going to kill me, isn't it? Speaking of fabulous ladies, I'm in love with the Queen. I was wondering, does she / did she ever get involved in combat personally, or does she more do behind the scenes commands and directions, and investigations?

Well, we know how Gloria’s story ends (at least for now), so there will be the expected level of heartbreak, I think. As for the second part of your question, Amira doesn’t engage in physical fights often, but she can more than hold her own. Corbin was adamant when it came to his loved ones learning to protect themselves, so he started training with her during their teen years. Demonstrating how to beat the snot out of someone was how Corbin showed love.

Fun fact: Mal did not inherit his fondness for bladed weapons from his father— not directly, at least. Amira likes knives, and she’s very good with them.

Howdy, i just started reading TPC and was just looking for clarification on who belongs in what generation...i've seen gold/silver/bronze terms thrown around...but I'm not 100% sure that I know what groups are being referred to (mostly with the Silver/Bronze distinction)

Originally, the terms were for my own personal use, because worldbuild is unwieldy and I tend to be less than organized. I arbitrarily chose the names of the first three comic book ages. Each generation in the posterverse has a trinity that affects the worldbuild in a dramatic way-- much like DC's Superman/Wonder Woman/Batman trinity and Marvel's Iron Man/Captain America/Thor trinity. In TPC, the Golden Age's trinity is Amira/Corbin/John. The kids in Origins make up the Silver age, and the next generation will be the Bronze one. I hope that clears it up for you!
