Holding pinkies while taking a walk
Sylus: it's not like he doesn't hold your whole hand (he insists on doing so, even), it's just... that holding such a tiny part of you, that's unwilling to let him go, it's almost electrifying. If you seek his pinky first, he won't admit it, but the tip of his ears gets a little red.
Caleb: holding your hand is also a natural thing for Caleb, and you've been doing it since you were kids. While crossing the street, taking a walk in the park, or simply watching TV together, somehow your or his hand reached for the other's. But as you two grew up, holding hands became more intimate in the eyes of others. So, when you two wanted to avoid awkward questions or looks, you'd seek each other's pinkies and discreetly keep each other close.
Playful headbutts
Zayne: while waiting in line or standing close to each other, he suddenly leans his body to the side and gives your head a little bump, looking straight all the time. It's a cutesy way to kill boredom and, if you do the same, he smiles a little. It doesn't matter if you can only reach his shoulder or his head, bumping into each other is somehow amusing for him.
Xavier: he does it the most when he wants your attention. Let's say you're both drinking with colleagues, and you've been distracted or too engrossed with your friend's chatter, that's the moment when you feel a little bump from your side. He'd be looking at you with doe eyes while his hand supports his head. He wants you to look at him sooo bad, and it works. He also does it when you're sitting together on the bed or couch, it's past your bedtime and he quietly reminds you to go rest.
Hip bumps
Rafayel: also a way to kill boredom, or to tease you. He does it the most when you're both in front of the bathroom mirror, brushing your teeth or hair. Starts with a gentle push, barely swaying your body, but of course you push him back, so it escalates. Never strong enough to make you fall, but enough to make you stumble a couple of steps as you lose balance. Loooves and bursts out laughing if you get mad and rely on actually pushing him with your arms.
Randomly play fight
Caleb: another habit from childhood. You want to tickle him, he defends himself, you grab each other's hands, push and pull, he tries to make you trip a little with his legs (he always catches you !!), you pull his arm, and suddenly he has you pinned down on the bed/sofa, both of you giggling. While growing up, he might've accidentally hurt you, something you laughed off because you knew it wasn't intentional, but he still learnt to measure his strength around you.
Poke you out of nowhere
Xavier: it's his version of play fights. Since he likes to pull pranks, he tends to poke the small of your back when you're distracted, sometimes making you yelp, then your sides or cheeks. It can turn into a tickle war easily.
Rafayel: pokes your shoulder and acts as if he doesn't know anything, and somehow it always works because he only does it at his exhibitions, so there are a lot of people who randomly pat your shoulder to get your attention, but when he is barely containing his giggles, that's when you smack his arm.

I wish I could vent about how much I hate what Infold did to Caleb in the English version, how I feel like they should never have agreed to use that damn “baby sister,” but how at the same time it wouldn’t have fixed anything, because people would have analyzed the difference between the Chinese and English versions and been just as disgusted, and how such a great character continues to be, more than a year after its official release, a source of controversy and fights.
Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.

a/n: wanted to finish some drafts to get out of writer's block before starting two recent requests!
headcanons masterlist
Zayne — Light sleeper. He always takes a shower before going to bed; he can't fall asleep otherwise. Has plain pajamas in cool tones, but in summer, he can sleep shirtless (🫦). Doesn't move much during the night and breathes softly, letting soft sighs pass through his lips when he's fully asleep. As a doctor, he is aware of the rule of no screens before bedtime, but 1) sometimes he goes straight to bed after typing reports, and 2) he likes to chat with you before going to sleep, so he doesn't follow it that much. When you're sleeping by his side, he either lets his arm open so you can cuddle beside him or he fully spoons you.
Rafayel — Heavy sleeper, but he wakes up at random noises, yet NEVER the alarm. He doesn't set alarms unless he has plans with you, and yes, he goes 5:50, 6:00, 6:10, 6:20- it's a nightmare. Can sleep very still and stiff when he finally rests after overworking himself (meaning he doesn't fully rest, but sleep is sleep), or in starfish mode. He has a huge bed for a reason, y'know? Gets tangled in the sheets, his pillows get all messy, and he can sleep in the weirdest positions when he's sleeping by himself. If you're with him, he needs to hug you or touch you in any kind of way.
Xavier — HEAVY SLEEPER. I don't think there's much I can say about him. We know he can sleep on the sofa, the bed, his bean bag... and he's definitely a pretty sleeper most of the time. Key word: most. When he's been sleeping for over 12 hours, his face gets all smushed on the pillows, his lips a little puckered, and cheeks squished oh so cutely, you have to take a photo! If you tease him too much, he won't wake up, but will start mumbling and bury his face in the pillows. Cuteness aggression goes hard with him. Rewarding of his clothes... whatever is comfy and warm will do. If you're sharing a bed, ditch one of the pillows; you're either sleeping on top or underneath him, so no more than one pillow is needed at this point.
Sylus — Oh, he's big. He's taking up a lot of space on the bed, that's why he has a custom-made mattress: perfect size, perfect cushioning. Wears fancy pajamas/robes or sleeps straight up naked/in underwear, on his stomach and face smushed on the pillows too... but he's too handsome, even his smushed face looks handsome, and kissable, too kissable... Don't kill me, but I think he snores a little bit, but it's more like a low grumble. He's a heavy sleeper, but his senses are too sharp; he will wake up if he perceives any weird noise. Most likely to sleep on top of you and bury his face in your neck. Sleeping on your bed will force you to snuggle closer, but oh well... can you reaaaally complain?
Caleb — My poor baby is a light sleeper :( I think it's rare if he gets to the REM phase, so he's always alert and frustrated because he can't fully rest. When he was younger, even if he had nightmares, he could sleep a bit more soundly. Of course, his sleep quality goes exponentially up when you sleep by his side. Spooning you is enough for him, and he likes it when you cling to his arm or put a hand on his chest. He feels like he can finally relax.

I promised myself I'd never make this kind of post, but it's related to lads, so maybe I can find more people who feel this way.
tw: venting about being chronically single lol.
So, yeah. In a couple of months I'll turn 20 and every day I feel worse about the fact that I've never had a partner, or dates, or a single confession. I won't say there haven't been people interested in me, but they always admire me from a distance and are usually people who don't really know me.
And I feel like I'm increasingly finding refuge in otome/fanfics, but recently they've made me feel even worse. Sometimes I feel a little pathetic, sometimes it makes me think this is all I'll ever have, sometimes it makes me feel like I won't experience any of the romantic stuff I read about (I want to make it clear: only the realistic part, I have that very clearly distinguished).
I know I'm still young, that there's no rush, that there's no pressure to go out with someone... But today, for example, the only single friend I had left told me he got a girlfriend, and I was very happy for him! Until I felt sad for myself :')
All my friends have partners now, and me... well, I log into love and deepspace every night to do my missions and tap the screen to entertain myself with Sylus. 🧍🏻♀️
I'd like to know how you all feel, because right now I feel so... silly, and like I'm falling behind.

I'm going to cheat a little and just ramble on because I don't have anyone to talk to about this:
My favorite companion for fighting, in general: Abyss Sovereign most of the time, Silverwing Fiend on harder levels. Even so, I'm still pretty stuck on the deepspace trials, I need better protocores...
My favorite companion in terms of aesthetics: Lemurian Sea God and King of Darknight. In my opinion, these are the most visually stunning myths so far. I’d pick SWF!Sylus again, but it goes without saying that I’m a Sylus girlie, so I’ll end up including him in everything KSHFNAJXF.
My favorite myth based on the lore: Shooting Stars (Lighseeker!Xavier) (◞‸◟,) his whole lore is my favorite, I started playing because of it, and GOD he makes me cry so MUCH (っ╥﹏╥ς). Decoherence and Sea of Golden Sand are also a great stories, definitely my favorite of each character.
BUT IF YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE I'LL... i'll choose Where Silverwings Rest.

I'm not great at naming tropes, but !! When it comes to Sylus, I love AUs like the one in Throne of Eros. I guess that counts as enemies to lovers (?) Basically, it's the dynamic that's been going on since Beyond Cloudfall. I like it in the canon, I like it in fics, I like it everywhere, hehe ₍^ >ヮ<^₎
Even when it’s one-sided. For example, in one of my upcoming projects (which I talked about in depth in this post)—it’s a historical AU where only the MC/reader feels aversion toward him, while Sylus finds her hatred for him fascinating and incredibly entertaining 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯
