“I would mourn of course, Giselle is my starter and I love her dearly. But I know she would be upset with me if I kept clinging to the past over her. Holding myself back and being miserable over her. I’ve even talked to her about it after…” She muttered, brushing her hair back before looking at him.
“Look do you think Furnace would be happy knowing she’s the reason you are so limited? That she has crippled you?”
“She hasn’t. Furnace didn’t do anything, it’s me,” he answered sharply. He sighed. “But no. No, I suppose not. I… I suppose I should… replace her.”
How he hated that very prospect. “Replacement” just felt dirty to him, like he was throwing her away.
“It’s not a replacement, it’s a new member to your family. Maybe you should also change the way you think while you’re at it.” Serena scolded, shocked that he would refer to it like that. “You can never replace Furnace but you will be opening yourself to a new companion. Try not thinking about it in such a negative light, it’s called moving on with your life.”
