Summary: After finding the ship's crew member who was invading the kitchen at night, Sanji and the reader become friends. What can please a cook to thank for the good friendship?
Warnings: lots of flashbacks (all in italic), takes place a few weeks after part 1. reader with some insecure thoughts. a hint of a sad reader, fluff in general. sorry for possible errors, story not proofread.
WC: 3.3k
Pairing: Sanji x F!Reader (more thought of as OPLA!Sanji, but I've been loving the anime, so feel free with your choice).
A/N: A total of zero people asked and I still did it! In fact, I had thought of 3 parts for the story (the last one would be a smut that I'm still really thinking about, since I have an idea for the same theme for Zoro). That's it, I hope you like it and who knows, maybe I'll come back with more of this soon.
Read part 1 here
Before you even opened your eyes, your hands involuntarily searched for something on the other side of the bed, unfortunately finding only the unoccupied sheet.
"Good morning, Miss." Sanji's voice reached your ears before you could even open your eyes. "
Good morning. Wait, is it daytime?"
"Yes. I believe someone managed to sleep well tonight, no nightmares." he turned towards you. Even though you were drowsy, you leaned on one of your elbows, getting closer to him.
"Yeah, I believe so." You didn't know where your eyes would go, to the disheveled blonde locks, to the almost shy smile or the clear eyes that stared at you.
You could see his eyes looking at you too, but neither of you took the right action. At least the attitude you expected. Sanji could feel your breath on his face, your eyes shone when you looked into his, enough for him to come to his senses and move away.
"I-I..." he stood up, adjusting his shirt. "My dear, I will prepare breakfast and as soon as it is ready, I will call you." he headed towards the door.
"Sanji?"
"Yes mon amour."
"Thanks."
You were unused to sleeping alone, at least compared to before. Not that you would accept any company in your room.
It was just a few nights that he spent in your company. With each one, you discovered a new thing in common.
It was difficult to understand what you felt, it was strange. It was as if all the breezes coming from the sea surrounded your stomach, or even as if it didn't matter that they were still far from the Grand Line. It was okay to take longer to achieve your goals, as long as you stayed with your crew, everything was okay. What you didn't expect was the distance.
Damn, damn distance. Little by little you noticed him moving away from you. He wouldn't leave you alone, ever, but something was slowly cooling down and that was much more intriguing than anything else the other seas could bring to you.
Even though you weren't ready to face the day, you stood up and walked to the kitchen, finding the person responsible for so many doubts in your mind. How could a damned cook leave you lost like that? Had you asked too much of his help? Or had he simply gotten tired of being your friend? What was that strange feeling again? Damn, this wasn't the time to think about that.
"Good morning Ji." Your voice caught his attention, and he smiled in your direction.
"Good morning darling. I hope you slept well." you sat in front of him, watching him cut some fruit. An idea, perhaps not the smartest, crossed your mind.
"Too much. And you?"
"Good." He remained silent for a few seconds, focused on something that looked like just a simple apple.
"Finally fell out of bed." Zoro walked past you, sitting next to you and grabbing some breakfast.
"Look who's talking, you're a walking mummy. You're constantly bandaged up and sleep everywhere." you retorted, laughing at his face.
"Let's see if you say that later." Zoro's words immediately reached Sanji, who no longer insisted on pretending not to be listening to the conversation.
"Let's see who lasts longer, cucumber head. Don't forget my order." you lightly elbowed the swordsman, who just grunted. "You promised!"
"Why don't you take it yourself? I was thinking about spending some time on other things."
"I don't think I'm going to disembark today. I'm not feeling very well." As soon as the words left your lips, Sanji's attention became all yours.
"Is there anything I can help with, ma'am?"
"No, no Sanji. Women's problems."
"One more reason for me to win today!" Zoro returned the elbow, this time making you groan. Before Sanji could curse him for the measly push, he had already left you alone.
"Maybe I can make some tea, get something ready. All you have to do is tell me, darling."
"Don't worry about it. I'll rest a little longer." You left, leaving him alone, watching you and questioning why you refused help.
You just couldn't say it was part of your plan. As they were already used to, whenever they anchored in a town or city, they would spend a day exploring the nearest areas and return to the boat at dusk - if they weren't lost in a bar - to decide whether to stay longer in the place.
You waited until you were sure everyone had left the boat to put your plan into action. Would it be a good idea to cook to please a chef? Maybe not, but it would be worth a try. At least, you already understood a little of the recipe you needed to make.
"You won't eat cold lunch food again." once again, you were scared by Sanji's presence in the kitchen. He soon stood next to you, taking the plate. "What do you want?"
"To cook!"
"Now I'm surprised. The night's sneaking out for a snack really inspired you. What are we going to do then?"
"How about some pasta?" you suggested, already eager for the answer. "I know this isn't the best time to eat this, but..."
"If it's pasta my girl wants, we'll make pasta. What will we need?" He left it up to you to respond, laughing loudly when he noticed your confusion. "You really don't do well in the kitchen, do you? I'm glad I'm here."
Flour, eggs, salt. Okay, the first ingredients were easy. Maybe it was too early to start the recipe, but you didn't want to run the risk of him arriving early and catching you in the kitchen.
It took hours for you to get the right doneness, but the pasta strands looked perfect, now all that was left to do was cook it and add it to the sauce, which you had a vague idea of what to do.
"How much longer do we have to wait?" you indicated to the pan full of water.
"Until it boils." Sanji warned, adding generous spoonfuls of salt to the water.
"Wouldn't it be too salty?"
"No, honey. When we make this kind of pasta, the water needs to be hot as hell and salty as the sea." he took a spoon and poured in some of the liquid, blowing gently as the smoke dissipated. "Try it."
His laughter upon seeing your disapproving face filled the entire ship and certainly must have disturbed the other crew members who were sleeping there.
"Hot as hell, salty as the sea. Got it."
"I knew someone sweet like you would hate this, but in the end, the recipe will be delicious. Someday, I'll make the seafood version, you'll love it, it's my favorite."
Tomatoes, shrimps and tuna. It was enough to make the sauce. You didn't want to invent much more than you knew how to do and even so, you were already feeling afraid of what might come out of it.
The day was already ending when you finished making the dish. Pasta with seafood sauce. Probably a much simpler version of what the crew cook would make. You arranged some cutlery on the table, prepared a juice with tangerines and tried to get as many things ready as possible.
"What are you doing?" the scream that came out of your throat was almost involuntary when you heard Nami.
"What, are you guys back already?"
"Just me for now." she explained, coming around the table. "Who did all this?"
"Not the official cook."
"Weren't you feeling bad?" She laughed when she saw you disconcerted. "I knew it was a lie. You asked me for help with that two weeks ago, remember?"
"Okay, maybe I was just trying to get the boys off my back."
"What I don't understand is that we already have a cook..." she put her hand on her chin, analyzing you "Do you want to take his place..."
"Never! I love Sanji's cooking!" you responded almost immediately, leaving her euphoric with the conclusion.
"I knew it! You want to impress him. You like him! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, more money for me."
"What do you mean Nami?"
"You didn't deny it, so I'm right." trying to leave the topic of money aside, she turned you around, pushing you towards your room. "And for that, you'd better take off your soaked clothes. Get ready, I'll cover you if any of them show up."
Before you could question anything, Nami was already leading you into the room. And she was almost right, in every proposition. Firstly, you didn't just want to impress Sanji, you wanted to thank him for the time he spent being a great friend and maybe make it up to him for you upsetting him so much the last few weeks. And second, you didn't just need to change, you would need a shower to remove all the shrimp smell from your body.
With a speed you didn't yet know, you managed to do everything. Take a shower, fix your hair and choose your favorite outfit. You were ready, which made you even more nervous.
As soon as you left your room, you could see Nami breathe a sigh of relief, at the same time as the other crew members rushed into the kitchen.
"Finally. I thought I was going to need to yank you away from the door." Zoro was the first to enter, soon followed by Luffy and Usopp.
"What's that smell? Sanji, did you leave a feast ready for us?" Luffy already went straight to the table, earning a slap from Nami. "I'm hungry."
"With that smell, it's impossible not to be." Usopp added, getting slapped as well.
"Everyone eat together." she warned.
"What does it smell like..." Sanji was the last to enter, finding the table set. "What is that?"
"Well, um." you took the lead, feeling your legs tremble. Your eyes were lost in Sanji's "You've been... I mean, you've all been great friends. I wanted to prepare some delicious food for us."
"But Sanji already does that." Luffy spoke and you knew it was in the best interests, which made you laugh when you saw Nami's face at him.
"I know, I just wanted to maybe surprise you with something different."
"Then let's fill our bellies, because later I intend to fill myself with drink." Zoro settled down, picking up one of the plates. "And if it turns out good, your drink is on me today."
"Oh, of course." you replied and despite smiling, you were focused on something else.
Sanji was still standing at the door, observing the table and almost without meaning to, his gaze crossed yours. You could see them glow from afar and at the same time, you could feel your stomach churn with anticipation to know if he had liked the little surprise.
Everyone sat down to dinner and from what you heard, you were satisfied with the food and eager to tell you everything you had seen in the village. Except Sanji. He seemed intent on eating from his plate, savoring every bite.
"It was incredible!" Luffy said, finishing turning the plate into his mouth "It's good to know that we have someone who knows how to cook besides Sanji."
"Best food I've ever tasted." Zoro said and it didn't take much for you to know that he was just saying that to provoke the other cook.
"You never said that about my dishes!" Sanji's grumble made everyone at the table laugh, including you, partly because of the comment, but mainly because he had finally said something.
"You've never done anything good like this. I think now you can go back to being a waiter."
"Both foods are amazing, maybe you'll work well together." the malicious tone didn't go unnoticed in Usopp's words, making your face burn with embarrassment.
Before you could find words to respond, Nami noticed your little desperation and stood up.
"Belly full, time for Zoro to buy our drinks."
"It wasn't you I promised. Let me go, woman!" he grunted as Nami pulled him to his feet.
"We go ahead and they find us later." she suggested, hoping everyone would understand who should remain on the boat.
"But I'm still hungry." Luffy complained and one look from Nami was enough for him to stand up. "Okay, I'll go with you, but I better have some snacks."
"I'll stay here, help our cook organize things and we'll meet you there." Sanji spoke, causing Usopp to also get up and follow the three others.
As they left, you took the opportunity to start taking the dishes off the table and as soon as they were alone, you saw Sanji leave the kitchen. The anxiety that maybe you had been too clingy gnawed at you.
"Have you seen Sanji?" you asked Nami, who seemed distracted doodling something.
"Nah, he's probably stuck in the kitchen, inventing something."
You hurried along, playing cards dancing between your fingers until you found Luffy attacking the fridge. "
Ah, hi! I was just checking to make sure everything was ok here." He spoke with a mouth full of meat, making you laugh.
"Have you seen Sanji?" "It must be in his room. If you can, please don't tell him what you just saw." he smiled, amidst the pile of food.
"Leave it captain."
You went to his room, gaining the courage to knock on the door three times and hear a "Come in" from inside.
"Excuse me." you hung your body inside the room. "Everything is fine?"
"Of course, miss. Is there anything you need?"
"I wanted to know if you wanted to play cards with me. I almost didn't see you today." you proposed excitedly, a feeling that didn't last long.
"I'm sorry, I think I'd rather be alone for a bit."
After that, the late-night cooking trips stopped, and he seemed to flirt less with you, which gave you less space to respond. Maybe you were a very clingy friend, and maybe Sanji didn't like that.
The water ran while you stood still, immersed in your thoughts. What you didn't expect was to feel two arms around your body, turning off the tap and pulling your arms away from the sink.
"Leave it, mon cher." He turned to you and with some gentleness, took off the apron you had just put on. "You already made dinner, I'll take care of it later."
"Did you like it?" The words left your lips involuntarily, leaving you disconcerted under his gaze.
"Pasta with seafood sauce?" he waved with a smile, as he picked up two glasses.
You leaned against the counter opposite Sanji's and only then did you notice the bottle of wine next to you. Now his little disappearance made sense.
"The best dinner I've had in a long time." he placed the glasses next to you.
The two of them were alone there, just the two of them in the entire huge ship. Why was he so close to your body? Only a few centimeters separated them as he filled both glasses.
"Serious?" Sanji could melt right there when he saw the light in your eyes when he heard the praise. And he didn't make a point of hiding his smile because of it. "I mean, I just followed your recipe from that day."
"You said..." his smile faded, taking on a more serious tone as he took a sip of his drink. You, a nervous chaos, had almost completely turned the glass over. "You said you did all this, that it was because we were good friends..."
"Let me explain." you interrupted him, touching your hand to his chest involuntarily. Again, your brain seemed not to follow your feelings. "I know I didn't explain it well at the time, but you've been a great friend. Helping me with my sleepless nights, teaching me new things. I mean, I know I'm a little clingy and I understand you wanting some space . But today I just wanted to do this to thank you for everything you've done for me these days. You've been an incredible friend."
Before answering, he immediately put his glass aside. The hand that held the drink soon found your chin, gently lifting it so he could look you in the eyes. His hands gently cupped your face, in an affable gesture.
"I don't want to be just that. I don't want space either." he laughed, as if it were a joke that only he understood.
Your eyes were lost on Sanji's face. It was as if something pulled you and left you immersed in it, almost hypnotized.
"I don't want to see you awake at night scared, I don't want to have to leave you here alone on the ship when you're not well. I-I don't want to see you making appointments with that idiot swordsman. I-I..." all the his euphoria seemed to fade, the end coming out as just a whisper. "I don't just want to be your friend."
No warning, no permissions or no questions. Almost immediately his lips found yours softly. A long peck, testing the waters ahead. Your hands, previously hanging, found the face of your favorite cook, giving him the little courage he still lacked.
You could feel his kiss invading your mouth and heavens, that was what you expected. His hands dropped from your face and ran down the side of your body, until they reached your waist. The small cry of fright was muffled by Sanji's lips as he grabbed you by the waist and placed you on the counter, fitting himself between your legs.
You could sink there, you could let the air escape from your body and you would still die happy, but soon you felt it invade your lungs in a quick sigh, as Sanji's lips descended towards your neck, proving a path of goosebumps.
"Sanji." the damn heaven was there, hearing your voice calling him like that. Not even All Blue itself would be better than that. "Ji, wait."
His lips moved away from yours, but he didn't make a point of taking you off the bench, or taking his hands away from your body or at least disguising the fact that he couldn't stop looking at your lips, or your eyes, or any part your.
"So, you're not tired of me?"
"I just needed to get my head straight." he replied, his fingers exchanging some misunderstood pattern on your hips. "All I could think about was you and I was afraid that maybe it would go too far. That's why I took distance."
Instead of responding with words, you just sealed your lips with his, who seemed unable to contain a smile with such action.
"Even though I like it here, I think we should go. They're probably waiting for us." you warned, but Sanji just pressed your body tighter against his.
"We have drinks here and from what I remember missus, the herbal tea worked that day, so you owe me a drink."
"You have no proof." you teased him, already anticipating the comment he would make.
"If you don't remember, I slept next to you that night." he replied, as you predicted. "If you prefer me to remind you, I can sleep today, and tomorrow, and then..." with each word, he stole another kiss from your lips.
"But, I believe we should stay here, from what I remember, you weren't feeling very well today."
"Haven't you realized yet that it was a lie to stay alone on the ship? It seems easy, but that dough gave me a hard time, it took me all day to make it and..." you saw him threaten to open his lips for a laugh or some comment sarcastic about his culinary skills. "One word about this and I will now accept the drink Zoro was going to buy me."
"Lucky for you, your boyfriend is a great cook and you'll never have to worry about that."
"Boyfriend, hm?"
"For now. I don't plan on letting you go anytime soon." your lips were captured again and you finally understood that damn feeling. The sea breeze inside your stomach, the tremor in your hands and the heat in your body.
warnings: none, pure fluff, Arthur pretending to be French, some spice at the end
Sorry for the France slaughter lol
Arthur Leclerc x reader; Their home teams go up against each other in the football World Cup
“Oh come on, he didn’t even touch you! Stop whining!”, Arthur shouted angrily at the TV, throwing his hands up in the air.
He sat between your legs on the couch, using your lower stomach as a pillow, watching football because the two of you did so almost every Saturday.
Except this Saturday was different.
It was the World Cup and France was facing off against your home country in the semi finals.
You were only partially paying attention to the match though, as you were wearing your reading glasses, knitting a tiny hat for Charles and Charlotte’s first baby arriving soon.
Every now and then you stroked Arthur’s hair to make him relax a bit.
Of course, you were rooting for your own country while Arthur kept telling himself that he was indeed French, supporting France as if his life depended on it.
So obviously it was guaranteed to be a mess with the two of your teams clashing in a knockout battle only one team could win.
“That is not worth a penalty! So unfair!”, Arthur complained as you cheered, because your team had gotten a penalty.
“Oh come on, be happy for my home country! You’re not even French.”, you huffed, his head turning abruptly in your direction.
“Bah oui, Monaco is basically in France.”, he retorted immediately, raising his eyebrows, making you laugh.
“It is not! I’m with y/n on this one!”, Charles suddenly shouted from the kitchen.
He was doing the dishes since he had lost the coin flip you had done after dinner.
“How did he even hear that?”, you chuckled, trying to lower your tone so that Charles wouldn’t hear you.
Arthur rolled his eyes.
“He hears everything when it comes to his beloved country.”
On the TV, one of your team’s players was getting ready to shoot the penalty, positioning himself eleven meters in front of the goal.
“But we speak French or do we not, brother?”, Arthur yelled teasingly in the direction of the kitchen, making Charles poke his head around the corner.
“Well…yes…”- there was a moment of contemplating silence- “… but we don’t eat snails!”, Charles yelled back. You clapped your hands together.
“Thank you, Charles. We seriously need to talk some sense into this guy!”, you squeezed your legs around Arthur which made him shift uncomfortably between your legs.
“But Benzema is so awesome!”, Arthur cried out, getting a hold of your thighs, gripping them firmly to put an end to your teasing.
“Well, Benzema is about to get kicked out of the World Cup.”, you commented with a wide grin, reminding Arthur that there was a penalty about to be shot.
He quickly returned to his previous position, his head on your stomach and his eyes glued to the screen.
You could hear him nervously hold his breath while you watched the player running towards the ball.
He shot the ball, positioning it perfectly in the top right corner where the French goalkeeper couldn’t reach it anymore.
Simultaneously Arthur let out multiple French curse words while you threw your hands up in the air, letting out an ecstatic laugh.
“Putain!”
“Yessss!”, you cheered, making him roll his eyes.
Such a diva.
“That was so unfair!”, he repeated, crossing his arms over his chest, pouting like a little child.
“That’s life, buddy.”, you replied with a cheeky grin, letting your hand wander to his neck to caress him softly.
He gave in to your touch but still didn’t relax fully because you could feel him tense up again.
“I don’t want to watch this anymore.”, he stated dramatically, turning around to lie on his stomach, now facing you.
You giggled again.
“You’ll live, mon amour.”
“Yes, but I’ll live knowing that France lost against your team.”
You raised your eyebrow at him, a questioning look on your face.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
A small grin made its way onto Arthur’s face.
“Nothing.”, he shrugged innocently, his hands slowly creeping under your shirt though.
You had to fight to hide your grin as you laid down your knitting stuff besides you.
Then you acted quickly: Your legs squeezing around Arthur as you rolled onto your side to get on top of him.
Now he laid on his back beneath you, you straddling his lap.
Immediately his hands found their way to your waist, but you pushed them off, pinning them to the couch on each side of his head.
“No, please: elaborate, Mr. Leclerc. What does it mean?”
Arthur’s smile got wider, eyeing you up and down.
He knew he could free himself from your grip anytime since he was stronger than you, but for now he’d let you have control over the situation.
“It means..”, Arthur started in a matter-of-fact tone, then stopped to think.
His eyes wandered to the TV behind you.
“Ouiii!”, he shouted all of a sudden, sitting up so abruptly that you didn’t even have the chance to react.
You still sat in his lap because he held you there, but you also turned to look at the TV, where you saw the reason for Arthur’s happiness: a penalty for France, in the last five minutes of the game.
This could be their chance to win.
You rolled your eyes, trying to move away from Arthur’s lap, but he only held you tighter.
Being so close to him you could feel his heart beating fast, his eyes glued to the screen.
“Yes! They’re letting Benzema shoot! He’s gonna bring home the win, I guarantee you.”, he smirked confidently.
“The game isn’t over yet, amour.”, the self-assured grin he gave you only made you more annoyed.
“We’ll see about that, love.”
“What’s going on? Why are you still shouting? I thought France lost?”, Charles appeared from the kitchen, a kitchen towel swung over his shoulder. He looked like a proper maid, making you giggle.
“Arthur thinks France still has a chance because they got a penalty, too.”, you explained, Charles’ expression being exactly the same as yours had been.
“Arthur, get over it. Y/n’s country is going to win.”, he shook his head disapprovingly, but his eyes also wandered to the screen.
The three of you watched anxiously as Benzema stood eleven meters in front of the goal, getting ready to shoot.
“This is it. Come on, Benzema..”, Arthur murmured, his fingers nervously digging further into your hips.
Benzema took a run-up.
Arthur sucked in air loudly.
Charles gripped his kitchen towel in anticipation.
You bit your fingernails.
And then…..
Benzema completely missed the goal.
The scene from earlier repeated itself: Arthur cursing in French, you cheering loudly.
Charles slapped his brother lightly with his kitchen towel.
“See, brother? I told you.”
With that Charles disappeared back into the kitchen, leaving the two of you alone again.
Arthur had his face buried in his hands, shaking his head in disbelief.
“How could he miss that?!”, his voice sounded disappointed and angry at the same time.
You let out a loud laugh, stroking Arthur’s hair again.
“Looks like you’ll have to root for my country in the finals then.”, you smirked when Arthur looked back up at you.
“Over my dead body.”, he retorted, making you laugh even more.
“Stop laughing…it’s not funny!”, he whined, having had enough of your celebrations.
He grabbed your waist, rolled on top of you and pushed you into the couch.
You yelped at the movement, not able to control your giggling anymore.
It was just so funny when Arthur complained like a little child.
Playfully he narrowed his eyes at you from above, his hands gripping your waist tightly.
“Alright, alright, I surrender!”, you grinned, trying to hold back your laughs.
Arthur didn’t look satisfied though.
“I’ll tell you what: If my country wins in the finals, we’ll go out for dinner and I’ll wear the red dress you bought for me last week.”
Something in Arthur’s eyes flared up. He looked intrigued now.
“Go on.”
You thought about it for a second, then your hands came up to his neck, playing with his hair.
“I’ll wear your favorite lingerie set… and afterwards you can do whatever you want to me..”, you whispered now, enjoying his reaction.
His eyes fluttered shut for a moment as he groaned into your ear.
“Deal.”
“But you have to root for my country! I want to see you go full out with the colors of my country.”

Are you busy? You texted him, tossed your phone onto the ground next to you and assessed the situation in front of you for the hundredth time. Pieces of wood everywhere, harware everywhere, a cordless drill your dad had given you when you moved out years ago–one he didn’t show you how to use.
What had started as a simple Friday evening project, rearranging your apartment living room, had transformed into an all-consuming weekend of furniture and clutter shopping. The Ikea box–boxes–sit torn apart on the floor and the instruction pamphlet is disheveled amongst the mess somewhere.
Never for you, he replies, you roll your eyes.
You reach for your phone, quickly type out your response. Come over? You text, and immediately follow it up. Not for the reason you think.
He’s knocking on your door twenty-five minutes later, three knocks, pause, and then another. Just like always. You try to manuver your way out of the maze of wooden boards and dowels and hardware and the dreadful drill to get to the door. He’s on his phone when you open it, quickly shuts it off and shoves it in his pocket and smiles at you like an idiot. “Hi.”
“Help.” You say, straight-faced and serious because you’re in so over your head it’s not even funny. He laughs, you swing open the door nad mumble out a preemptive apology.
He chokes your name out through a laugh as soon as he sees the mess. “What have you done?”
“Can you help me?” You say over his shoulder, over his shaking head. Disbelief, amazement, fear, probably all of the above because you’ve truly created a monster.
“Cherie, what am I looking at, even?” He scratches the back of his head, his neck, just inside the collar of his t-shirt.
“Entertainment center.”
He tries not to laugh. Fails miserably. “Are you sure?”
“I think.”
“Oh, mamma mia.” He shakes his head, looks at you and reflects your pout. “You’re so cute.”
You roll your eyes. “Are you going to help me, or not?” You are so far beyond help, mon amour, he sighed, told you to get something to drink and that he would figure out how to undo whatever you’d done and build the furniture the way it was originally intended to be built. “You don’t want my help?”
“I am scared of your help.” You would be offended if everything you’d managed to put together looked even a little bit like what the end goal was, but, he was probably right to be scared by what you could do. You were a little scared by how badly you’d managed to screw it up. It felt like maybe someone should take away your rights to adult if you couldn’t built a simple peice of furniture. “If I teach you, you won’t have to ask for my help next time.”
“This is truly an enlightening experience,” you say, pop another piece of fruit into your mouth. “Dinner and a show.” Who knew watching your guy-who-isn’t-your-guy play with high stakes Swedish legos could be so attractive. It’s just furniture, you’d try to remind yourself, and then he'd use your drill like his dad taught him how to use one instead of just giving him one as a gift.
“Who gave this to you?” He asked about the drill the first time he picked it up. “I don’t think they liked you much.”
You laughed. He laughed at your laugh. “My dad,” you answered, and he shrugged his shoulders, didn’t confirm or deny his previous claim. You don’t know if he plays it safe because you’ve told him too much–or too little–information.
Despite a few of the screws angled just a bit awkwardly, the only real victim of the entertainment center debacle of 2023 is a single wooden dowel that snapped clean in half. “Do you have super glue?” He asked when the two of you finally stopped laughing about it. I have nail glue, you told him, and only time will tell if the cosmetic solution actually worked.
“My hero!” You joked, stood up on your tip-toes to throw an arm around him, admired your–his–work now that the console had been set in it’s forever home. “I could not have done it without you.”
“You would’ve figured it out.” He says, smiles down at you like he isn’t a liar. “It just would have been…”
“A disaster?”
He chuckles. “Abstract.”
“Oh.” You laugh, kiss him because how can you not? “You’re sweet.”

Kylian was supposed to be here by now, Théo is playing today after being on the bench because of an injury, Kylian promised he would be there but I don't think he will
I try calling him for the 5th time today and it goes straight to voicemail
I sigh and look at my son whose putting his cleats on
"Is he coming?"
"I don't think so Théo"
He looks at me with a sad look that I instantly want to remove from his face
He hugs me tightly and I hug him back, I then pull away and look at him, then wipe away the tears that have escaped his eyes
"Je suis la, amour" ( I'm here, love)
"Ok Maman, je t'aime beaucoup" ( ok mom, I love you so much)
"Je t'aime beaucoup aussi Théo" (I love you so much as well Théo)
"I don't want to go"
"C'mon, you'll do great"
"But he's not here"
"Yeah, but I am, do it for me, can you play for me today Théo?"
"Ok, I'll play for you mom"
"Merci, ok now go"
He hands me his bag and waves at me, I wave back at him and give him a smile
I make my way to the stands and watch Théo, I pick my phone up and try to call Kylian again, maybe he can make it just in time before the second half, but it's no use it goes straight to voicemail again
The match starts and I put my phone away giving up on calling Kylian, I just want to focus on my son's match
The first half goes on and I see Théo look my way, then the empty seat next to me
He looks sad, angry and frustrated
The ref blows the whistle indicating that the second half has begun
Théo, sprints to the opponent and manages to get the ball
He passes it to one of his teammates then his teammate passes back to him, he dribbles past the defender and shoots the ball, then scores
He celebrates and points to me,blows a kiss towards me then makes a heart
I stand up and clap for him and he mouths "I love you mom"
I mouth back to him, "I love you too Théo"
By the 90th minute Théo's team has won 5-0 and Théo has scored 3 goals and assisted in the other 2
After the match he walks up to me and I hand him his water bottle
"Good job honey I'm so proud of you"
"Thanks mom"
I pick him up and he lays his head on my shoulder
"Can we please go home now"
"Ok, let's go"
I walk to the car and put him in the back seat, we then drive home in silence, and I'm occasionally glancing back to see him with a sad look on his face
"Théo"
"Maman?"
"Are you hungry?"
"No, I just wanna go home"
"Do you want to play FC24, when we get home?"
"No, I'm just tired, I think I'm going to sleep"
I give him a look that says really
"After I take a bath"
"Don't you want to spend some time with me, we can watch cars, or monsters inc., any movie you want to watch"
"Yeah, maybe after my nap"
"Ok, hey you know I was thinking maybe we can make cookies, do you want to help?"
"Not today mom, I don't think I'm in the mood"
"Ok, do you want me to help you with your bath?"
"No, I'm a big boy, I can do it myself"
"Ok"
The rest of the car ride is silent until we get home
Théo, gets out of the car and walks into the house while dragging his bag with him
I sigh and walk into the house and find his cleats and shoes placed neatly in the little shoe cupboard, usually I have to tell him to it, but today seems different
I go to the kitchen and get started on dinner
"Maman"
"Mhm?"
"Can you please help me"
I turn around, and see Théo struggling to take his shirt off
I slightly chuckle and walk towards him to help him
"What happened to the big boy?"
"He needs his mom's help"
"Clearly"
I help him take his shirt off then carry him to the bathroom, then open the taps making sure that the water is the right temperature for him, I then add his favorite bubble bath into the water, and he gets in
He puts some bubbles on his hair and starts playing with his bath toys
"What type of big boy plays with toys in the bath?"
"Ok fine, I'm still a small boy"
I chuckle and start bathing him, afterwards I wrap him up in a towel then carry him to his room and place him on the bed, and start taking out some clothes
He moisturizes himself then put on the clothes that I laid out for him
"Do you still want to take your nap"
He nods his head in a tired way and climbs onto his bed, grabs a thrower and lays his head on the pillow, I kiss his forehead and he smiles saying
"Thank you mommy"
"You're welcome Théo"
I walk out of his room and go back to the kitchen to continue making dinner
After 2 hours I hear the front door open, he's here
He walks into the kitchen and looks at me but I ignore his gaze
"Ça va, amour"
"Amour"
"Ma chérie"
He walks closer to me but i move away
"Lassie Moi" I say (leave me alone)
"C'est quoi le problème?" He asks ( what's the matter?)
"Ah bon, t'es sérieuse, Kylian" I ask ( really, are you serious Kylian?)
"C'est quoi c'est pas" ( what happened?")
"C'est ton fils, il est triste" I say ( it's your son, he's sad)
"Mais pourquoi" he asks (but why?)
"Pasque il son père" (because of his dad)
"Moi?" (Me?)
"Oui, toi" ( yes you)
"What did I do now?"
"So you didn't know that your son was playing today, after he told you two weeks ago and kept reminding you so you wouldn't forget"
He looks at me with shock, like I've just told him the most suprising news
"Mon Dieu, Kylian he even told you this morning before he went to school"
"He's match was today?"
I let out a frustrated sigh
"Where were you even, huh, and why was you phone going to voicemail everytime I tried calling you?"
"I was with Archaf, and I lost track of time"
"You lost track of time doing what?"
He's quiet
"What were you doing Kylian?"
"I was busy"
"You know what I don't even want to know, just get away from me"
"Where is Théo anyway"
"He's sleeping, he took a bath and went straight to bed"
I hear him sigh behind me
"I'm sorry"
"You're apologizing to the wrong person"
"Then I'll go and apologize to Théo"
"No he's asleep, don't wake him up"
"So what must I do then?"
"I don't care, just don't bother the child"
He goes upstairs and goes to our shared room, I the hear the shower taps, indicating that he's taking a shower
30 minutes later, I'm done making dinner and it seems Kylian is done taking his shower and he walks downstairs
I dish up 3 plates of food then go to the table and place them there
I then go upstairs to wake Théo up
"Théo"
"Amour"
He opens his eyes and looks at me
"Maman?"
"Ouies, c'est Moi amour, est que faim" (yeah it's me love, are you hungry?"
"Oui je faim" (yes, I'm hungry)
"On y va"(let's go)
I pick him up and we go downstairs, when we get to the dining table we find Kylian already there waiting for us, I place Théo in the seat next to me, where there's a plate of food
We eat dinner in silence until Kylian breaks it
"Théo"
"Papa"
"Je suis très désolé, mon fils"
"C'est bien papa"
"Ah bon?"
He nods his head
"But why were you not there, how come you didn't come to my match?" Théo asks with his voice slightly breaking
Kylian looks at me and I look at Théo
"I was busy" Kylian says
"With what"
"Théo, arrête ici c'est pas ton problème" (Théo, stop, this is not your problem"
"Ouies mais c'est mon problème" I say (yeah but it's my problem)
"Je travaillerai" he says ( I was working)
"Avec quoi?( with what?)
"Rien" ( nothing)
"T'es sérieuse, t'es fou ou quoi, t'es travaille avec rien?" (are you serious, are you mad or what, you were working with nothing?)
"Oui" he says (yes)
"You must think I'm an idiot"
"But I was working"
"Papa, s'il te plaît" Théo says (dad please)
"Théo, this is non of your business"
"Then why weren't you there?" Théo asks
"I was busy"(Kylian says)
"Théo, arrête je parle avec ton père, go to your room" I say ( Théo, stop, I'm talking to your dad)
He gets out of his seat and walks upstairs
"Are you serious, are you not going to tell me what you were so busy with that you had to miss your son's first match, after the injury he had?"
"All you need to know is that I was busy"
"Are you cheating on me?"
"What, no"
"Then what were you so busy with"
"Nothing"
"Fine, since you don't want to tell me, I'll be sleeping with Théo today" I say standing up from my seat, "you can sleep in the guest room or on the sofa, also do the dishes before you go to bed"
I walk upstairs and go to Théo's room
"C'mon, let's go" I say
"Where are we going?"
"To my room"
"Why?"
"You're sleeping with me"
"Can we watch movies and stay up all night"
"Yeah, we can"
"Can we start with Marvel movies"
"I was thinking the same thing"
We go back downstairs and pick out some snacks for the movie
"Not so many sweets Théo"
"Ok"
After picking some snacks and deciding what movies to watch, we go back upstairs to my room and put the movie on the TV
I tuck Théo into the bed and his tiny head sticks out from under the covers
"Maman?"
"Yeah?"
"Is Daddy going to leave us forever?"
"No, my love, he's not, me and your father are just having a bit of a disagreement"
"What's that?"
"It's when two people don't see eye to eye on something, but in the end they always work it out"
"You promise?"
"I promise Amour, now stop worrying about that and let's focus on the movie,ok?"
"Ok"
The rest of the night is spent watching movies till the early hours of the morning
Théo eventually falls asleep, cuddled up to me like I'm a teddy bear
I switch the TV off and kiss Théo's forehead and he snuggles into me, I close my eyes and fall asleep
A/N: this isn't the best thing in the world but I'm sick and bored

charles_leclerc Mon amour, you absolutely deserve this medal, all the time spent at the rink, all the time spent trying to master a jump, every minute of your life has built up to this incredible moment and I couldn't be more proud @Yourusername
it was my first final with psg for this season, having just joined the club from liverpool. it was big change, going from the wsl to the french league but so worth it.
both me and fellow australian, clare hunt had joined the team but she'd come from the a-leagues. in the almost year i'd spent at the french club, i'd met all of the players and they were all really welcoming.
the first player that greeted me was elisa, the slightly taller defender bumping into me on my first day.
since then we'd hit it off, become almost best friends and started dating after a couple months. now we were walking onto the field together, to play for the championship.
nerves were rolling through my body; the pre-game jitters never got easier. our captain grace led us out to the pitch where the lyon players were lined up and waiting.
it didn't take long and everyone was ready, in their positions. the whistle blew and i shot forward, we were off.
——
half time came, we were 1-0 down by a shot from ada hegerberg.
after the break everyone was determined to at least equalise. it felt like a lifetime but finally the ball was booted halfway up the field by our goalie and i was on it immediately. weaving through the defenders wasn't easy, i had wendie renard and ellie carpenter to get past before their goalie.
i was smaller, more agile however, and i managed to sneak past them and shoot a clean shot straight into the top left corner of the net.
the crowd went wild and i jumped in the air out of happiness. we were equal now, 1-1.
the second goal came roughly 10 minutes after my first, korbin had made a brilliant pass to lieke, who was bolting towards the box, 2 defenders hot on her heels. i was just on the right wing, close enough to the goal to get a tap in, and that's exactly what i did.
lieke saw me unmarked and slid the ball across and i made a one touch shot into the bottom right corner. the goalie didn't know what was happening by the time the ball was in the net.
the stadium erupted again and leapt in the air again. finally we had a chance, we were almost there.
when that final whistle blew after 5 minutes of injury time, i sunk to my knees. we had done it.
the whole team, subs included, ran onto the pitch in a huddle that ended more like a crushing pile of bodies. i wiggled my way out of it and found elisa.
"we did it mon amour, we won! thanks to you!" she picked me up and pressed a kiss to my forehead. i giggled and wrapped my legas around her body, to hold myself up. the whole stadium was filled with the cheers of the psg fans, but at the same time, the humiliated silence of the lyon fans.
i felt bad for the team, they had played their best but it wasn't enough. but the cheering of my team bought me back and both me and elisa were wrapped up in celebration again.
——
the girls had dragged us all out to a club, celebration they claimed. so i was dressed in a deep blue, shimmery dress that i thought matched our team colours perfectly.
elisa drove us while the other girls made their own way to the chosen club. it was semi-crowded when we got there but we found everyone else at a table and sat down.
sakina announced that the first round was on her and almost ran over to the bar to order.
around 3 rounds later and sakina, me and a couple other were on the dance floor. sakina was easily more drunk than me, hence why she was practically grinding on me. i wasn't too bothered, quite enjoying myself actually. we danced in sync with the music, matching all the other swaying bodies on the floor.
however i knew one person wouldn't be too happy, because i could feel her glare from across the room. elisa wasn't normally that jealous but when she was, i always ended up under her so i couldn't say i enjoy it.
the song ended and i twirled sakina away from me and she latched onto another teammate to dance with. i made my way over to where elisa was sitting, sliding in next to her.
"bonjour, mon amour." (hello, my love.)
my hand slid onto her thigh instinctively, elisa leaned her head down to mine to catch my lips in a searing kiss. when we pulled apart she had a hungry look in her eyes.
"sakina is too touchy."
i chuckled at how grumpy elisa looked, rubbing her thigh in comfort.
"do you want to get out of here?"
i didn't have to whisper, the club was already loud, but elisa heard me and was all too happy to grab my hand and get up. we bid goodnight to our teammates and headed for the exit.
our car was parked outside and we made a beeline for it. well, elisa did, i was just dragged along. however, she grabbed handle of the backseat not the front seat.
"elisa, what are you doing? we have to drive home?"
she didn't answer, just pulled me in with her. her lips were on mine the second the door clicked shut, hands roaming up and down my sides.
we pulled apart for a brief second then her lips were on my neck. she trailed her way down to my chest where she slipped the straps of my dress down to play with my nipples. a satisfied groan left my lips and i wriggled under her. she took her time now, giving equal amounts of pleasure to both the left and right breast.
"eli..."
"yes, mon amour?" (my love.)
she knew what she was doing to me, a cocky grin plastered on her face when she looked at me.
"hurry up and fuck me!"
i didn't think it could happen but an even cockier grin was now sported on her lips as she hiked my dress up to show my blue, lace panties.
"all dressed up for me, are we?"
a blush covered my cheeks at her words, i did have tiny hope that we would end the night like this but in her car, i never would have guessed.
her fingers were now hooked in the sides on my underwear, and with a glance up to me for consent, she pulled them down. her fingertips grazed my clit, before dipping further down to my soaked hole. she gathered my juices in her finger and brought it up to her mouth, not breaking eye contact once.
my cheeks heated with a blush again and i could feel the tingling feeling travel down to my groin.
"so wet for me, bébé." (baby.)
"elisa, please. just touch me already."
she did as i asked, fingers finding my clit and immediately rubbing small circles around it. i hummed, the pressure on the bundle of nerves was sending little shockwaves through my body and it felt so good.
my hips bucked up into her fingers, desperate for more friction.
"eli, your fingers inside me please."
she pressed a kiss to my lips, which turned into a make out session, while she thrust two fingers into me. elisa set a steady pace, before pushing a third finger in.
i moaned into her mouth at the stretch, urging her to keep going. i could feel the coil in my lower stomach start to tighten.
"elisa, 'm close. don't stop."
she kept going, if anything she sped up, determined to make me cum. elisa rubbed against my clit, adding to the pressure of the already-tight coil.
i mentally thanked whatever god was in our favour for the tinted windows elisa had on her car. i wouldn't be able to live this down if she didn't. inside the car, there wasn't much speaking, only the sounds of her fingers slapping against my wet folds and my moans. i was just on the edge, i could feel myself clenching faster, then suddenly i was there.
"elisa, i'm cumming!"
"cum for me bébé, all over my fingers." (baby,)
i didn't need any further assurance, i let it go and found myself clenching uncontrollably around elisa's fingers as she helped me through my orgasm.
slowly she pulled her fingers out, licking them clean then pressing a kiss to my lips so i could taste myself on her lips.
once i'd come down from my high, she made sure to clean me up as best she could, slipping my underwear back onto my hips and pulling the dress straps up over my bare chest.

.
When you first started dating Charles, you made a point of wanting to learn his native language.
The only issue was that you would quickly come to realise you were absolutely shit at learning a new language. It didn’t matter if you went to classes, downloaded Duolingo or even bought those little guides with simple and well-used phrases, it just didn’t seem to click to you as easily as it did with others.
But you were still so determined to learn, and it warmed Charles’ heart.
You wanted to be able to talk to him in his mother tongue because it was a beautiful language and you would love to understand what he said when he spoke it. You wanted to be able to talk to his family when they make such an effort to talk to you in English. And even if it was maybe too soon to think about such, you knew you wanted your children to be able to speak their father’s language too.
You were determined, so you made a deal with Charles.
You had your French days.
These would be days where you would wake up and set the goal of speaking French all day, or as much as you could. Charles would only talk to you in French, and he would be there to help you with any words and phrases you didn’t know. It was supposed to be a simple exercise that helped you immerse yourself in the language and push your boundaries to help further your knowledge.
It would just be random days where you would turn to Charles in the morning and inform him of as much, just stating ‘it’s a French day’ before going on with your morning routine.
Today was one of those days.
Except, when you had woken up with a pit in your stomach, you chose to ignore it. You had days where you woke up feeling a little fuzzy, a little on edge, a little anxious. You tried to have more relaxed itineraries on those days if you could, and that was exactly what you should have done today. But for some stupid reason, you thought you could push through it.
However, pushing through it meant that you were barely unable to stomach any food, let alone have the appetite to eat. It meant that you were constantly feeling as though you were about to tip over the edge. And it meant you should have stayed far, far away from coffee when your heart was already about to beat out of your chest.
But Charles had brought you a coffee back after his morning run, and you didn’t have the heart to say anything.
And first, it just felt like palpitations. You thought it would come and pass, and you’d be in the clear to just take a chill day.
But your heart was only speeding up, and the nausea was undeniable. Your chest felt tight with panic as you pressed the heel of your palm against your chest, hoping it would do something to ease the feeling but it didn’t.
Your breathing became erratic and shaky, your whole body felt like it was vibrating and you were pretty sure your head was underwater with how muffled your hearing was.
And your poor boyfriend was absolutely baffled.
“Amour? Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas?”
You let out some choked noise, your brain feeling far too fuzzy to even try muttering up a response to Charles, let alone in French.
“Amour? Baby? Are you okay? What’s wrong? What’s happening?” His words became more frantic as he quickly made his way over to you, his hands on your shoulder as he tried to catch your gaze.
“I—” You let out a slightly garbled noise before giving him a sheepish smile. It was stupid to try and continue the French day tradition, but even in your state, you tried. Even if your attempt was just speaking mostly in English with a botched French accent. “I am having—uh, une panique attaque!”
Charles’ eyes widened comically large. “I—fuck the French!”
Your smile was shaky. “I already kinda do.”
His lips parted in surprise before he quickly shook his head. “Baby, no, let’s…just…sit down, please. I’m going to get you water. And something to eat. You’ve hardly touched any of the pastries I brought.”
You listened to his demands, taking a seat on the plush living room couch as your boyfriend ran around like a madman to get anything that would make you feel better.
It wasn’t until over an hour later after you had drank what felt like all the water in the Monaco Pier and consumed enough croissants for a lifetime where you finally felt the tight feeling in your chest ease and your heart rate drop to a normal level. You were still on the couch, now cuddled with your back pressed against his chest as he held you tightly.
“I’m sorry for ruining French day,” you murmured to your boyfriend.
Charles only scoffed. “Baby, please. Your health is more important than French day.”
You paused for a moment before continuing. “I’m also sorry for basically calling you French.”
“Yeah, that I’m not forgiving,” Charles grumbled, but you could hear the smile on his face even if you couldn’t see it. “I think it counts as a hate crime.”
You rolled your eyes. “You are théâtral.”
Charles grinned as he pecked your cheek. “Good word, baby, where did you learn that one?”
