I currently live in Trottingham, though I was born in Manehatten. I moved with my mother when I was a colt filly. I much prefer my current residence. Yeah, the ponies here aren’t that friendly (and compared to Manehatten, that’s saying something!), but it’s not as hectic here…

In a nutshell, it allows the government to spy on any of your information.  Video, images, calls on skype to landlines or from computer to computer, searches on google, your profiles on social media sites… etc.  In addition to the requirement of Verizon to release all phone logs, this is a violation of privacy on an unprecedented scale.  It is a further expansion of the unnecessary Patriot Act signed into congress during the Bush administration.

Of course, there isn’t much of an outcry against this.  Our ubiquity of social media and sharing of personal information on, say, twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc, has pretty much paved the way for this sort of act to be signed into place.  What’s one more group looking at your site, even if it is the government, right?   

Wrong.  Given time, information that you may publish could be used against you by law enforcement and government agencies.  Americans have been giving up civil rights regularly over the past fifty years, and it is getting to the point that we will have no rights left.

America will no longer will be “Home of the Free.”  It is becoming “Home of the Observed, Controlled, and Wiretapped.”

Why do people make such a big deal out of these things. This is what the 8th attempt to do this? Also you shouldn’t care about them being able to monitor your stuff, unless you’re hiding or planning something illegal. So people need to stop freaking out every single time something like this happens.

That is exactly the kind of complacency that this kind of stuff counts on. Think about it. While THIS might not be the worst thing, people’s reactions (or lack of) to it will inevitably influence any bullshit in the future.

You give them an inch, and they’ll run a mile. Before you know it, we’ve got laws that require us to enter our social security numbers to even access the damned internet so that our identities can be confirmed and tracked with our activities. Without need for proper warrant, ANYTHING we type could be used against us in any court of law.

Let’s say you’re in court for something like assault. Everything you’ve posted on Facebook is now a viable piece of evidence to point towards your mental stability.

Here’s a fun one. How many artists do you think use reference images? Most of them. How would you like to become a prime suspect for a case of child abuse that might be happening to someone in your life, simply because your search history yields a much larger than average amount of pictures of children that you’ve used as reference for drawing?

Yes, I’m going out on a limb saying all of this, and no, it’s not that bad right now. However, if people keep presenting so much apathy towards rights and liberties being chipped away, it’s not unrealistic to think that things COULD end up like that.

So if anyone who follows Noodle’s Mod  blog has found out this are not stacking in the way she had hoped for. Life is taking a heavy burden on her with her family life, wedding preparations, working overtime at her job and the amount of penny pinching she has had to do in order to just go by is putting a strain on her both mentally and physically.

Aphex here.  We’re definitely struggling, Noodle more than I am.  We’ve both been doing what we can to get this all paid for and everything.

I’m trying to take on more jobs between current class stuff and catching up on what I had to miss to finish my portfolio to continue college, but we need as much help as we can get.  I’m still working on getting the print auction up and I’ll  be doing a livestream commission thing tomorrow after the move to see what I can earn.

But we need help.  If you can, please, don’t do it for me.  Do it for her.
