I want you to remember something that's very important. You won, not by playing the game Harlan's way...but yours. You're a good person. There’s nothing I can do. Except maybe… offer you some courage. And a reminder of why your sister walked away in the first place. My revelation came from...from Father Jud. His example to have grace. Grace for my enemy. Grace for the broken. Grace for those who deserve it the least. But who need it the most. For the guilty.
I just started the recent offering. #soexcited

"Ahhh, I've been away too long," she says while knowing fully that she may not return for quite some time.
Recently, I watched the Australian series Darby and Joan, which sees the titular characters played by Bryan Brown (as Jack Darby) and Greta Scacchi (as Joan Kirkhope) travelling the outback in a caravan solving mysteries.
Joan is the widow of Ian Kirkhope, who died in Australia under mysterious circumstances when he was meant to be in another country. So, Joan decides to leave her home in the UK and find out what her husband was doing in the days leading up to his death. On this journey, she meets Jack, a retired policeman travelling with his dog Diesel, when she accidentally runs him off the road.
From there, they set off together, encountering smaller mysteries as they try to solve the bigger mystery of Joan's husband. It's a decent series, and I warmed to it more and more as I watched, but the mysteries are very simple (most are not murders, which is nice for a change of pace), the production isn't the best and it wasn't the most engaging show I've watched.
But Brown and Scacchi are nice together, if a little forced at the outset, and I always like to see older (60+) characters. I think mysteries are probably one of the few genres where older characters can flourish, especially women. I also enjoy shows where characters travel around and encounter different people! Plus, it's always nice to see more of Australia
The first series ends with potential for another, this time with the promise of exploring some of Jack's past. I'd definitely watch a second series if one happens! But it's more of a background show or something to watch when you just need something light (which is something I do need sometimes)
(Also I guess they’re named after some characters from a mid 18th century ballad and/or the phrase popularised by it that I had no idea about! So I’ve learnt something!)
Feeling an incredibly weird specific nostalgia but what piece of media defined 2020 for you (as in you spent that year with it) mine is mtv's catfish
Blessings for all those missing loved ones or just feeling generally maudlin through the holiday season. Just take it one day at a time.
Trying the audiobook thing again.

I totally understand that with a new production comes a new actor, but we all have our faves.
