Aaaa I can’t wait to get to all the cute moments of Kai with cats in G-Rev!!

A bit of a side note but I accidentally coloured his hair too blue! Usually it’s sorta gray-blue right?? I think it’s almost turquoise here but ah well, let’s just roll with it lololol. He has that one crop top outfit in V-Force!! The one they flash back to while recalling the Bladebreaker’s S1 victory. IDK if anyone remembers that one??

If he wasn’t grieving, would you still be this close right now?

we were already finding our way back to each other before she passed. it wasn’t constant like it used to be, but it wasn’t nothing either. small conversations, moments where the thread between us felt intact, even after everything. we’ve been orbiting for a long time, definitely closer some years and distant others, but never really fully gone.

so no, i don’t think we’re only close because he’s grieving. the connection didn’t start with her death. it’s just… heavier now, more vulnerable. grief pulled something raw to the surface. and maybe that’s why it feels more complicated? because now, when he reaches for me, it doesn’t feel casual, it feels weighted, and i’m not sure if that weight is about me, or about everything he’s trying not to drown in.

but either way, this didn’t come out of nowhere. we were already walking toward each other, grief just sped up the steps.

fun fact: Merhi’s raced against Charles before in F2!

he did yes! he drove a few races in 2017 (not the full season). He was 26 at the time if I'm not wrong.
