Nugu GG of the Week #486 : LOVEONE

LOVEONE is a 5 member girl group that debuted in 2024 with the members Yousome, Yume (nugu darling 💕), A-yeon, Chaei (nugu darling 💕), and Yuna. The reason why this nugu group caught my eye is of course the nugu darling 💕 Chaei a former member of a previous mentioned NGGotW, eite (y'all still streaming Independent Woman?), like we miss you that group dearly so of course we're rooting for ya girl. Also Yume is a former member of ViV.

The group debuted with the standalone digital single Funny Honey. The song is a cute pop song with that Say So/Kiss Me More type disco feel. Staying in the trends. It's pretty catchy. Their vocals are alright, no one stood out, the vocals for the bridge were a little questionable but otherwise it was fine. The budget for the MV 😔 after watching that ifeye MV and then seeing this like damn, we're dancing in a room currently under construction while those girls were running from blue flower showers.

They are currently expected to have their first comeback later this month 🧐 so glad they didn't succumb to the disband after one song curse.

A misconception about the Christian faith that a lot of people (including Christians!) really struggle with is that forgiveness = no consequences for your sins. That's what people think Christianity preaches, and it is a major hurdle for them. They think that if a serial killer genuinely repents, that means that Christianity says they are able to get off scot-free with their crimes, or that it means they should be let out of jail, etc.

That is not true.

There are quite a few figures in the Bible who committed acts of evil, and repented for it. And God heard them! But oftentimes, their sins caused catastrophic damage to those around them, and they had to live (and die) with what they caused. The entirety of the Old Testament is a domino-effect of this happening over and over.

If someone genuinely repents before God, the forgiveness they receive from God is a perfect forgiveness. But we live in a fallen world affected by sin. Sin has consequences. Other people are often hurt by our sins, even if we aren't aware of it.

We have to live with the consequences of our actions in this world. Part of repentance requires accepting those consequences, otherwise it's not genuine.

Well, well, well…

10 years of All or Nothing.

I made this post when I was 20 years old and there was basically no asexual/pansexual rep in media.

I’m 30 years old now and…well, there still isn’t a lot, but at least we have Todd on Bojack Horseman and that guy from Schitt’s Creek?

A lot has changed in the past 10 years, both in the world and within myself. Looking back on the anxious, self-criticising barely-adult that I was back then really helps to put things into perspective.

Despite the Everything that’s happened with this post, I’m still glad it’s around and that it’s circulating - a little slice of classic 2014 tumblr nostalgia.

To everyone who has gotten something positive out of this post - I’m glad I was able to brighten even a small part of your lives, even for a moment.

To everyone who’s amazed I’m still here - Same, honestly. Please keep adding such comments though, each other gives me more power so that I may one day ascend from this mortal shell.

To everyone who’s left unnecessary negativity on the post - Okay 👍
