I have something I need to get off my chest about my experience and feelings I’ve had when engaging in hypnokink over the past decade plus.

Im mostly submissive. Like 80% on my least subby day. And comparing my experience being hypnotized to hypnotizing others, I tend to have a bit of an internal crisis regarding who is serving who.

I recognize that submitting for someone can be and usually is a service in and of itself, but I frequently worry that the hypnotist is doing most of the work and they can’t possibly be enjoying the experience as much as I am. This especially bothers me when I realize that I’m so deep that I’m just not vocalizing at all. I worry that this lack of audible reaction may come across as boredom when internally I’m in total bliss.

I’ve had this conversation with multiple hypnotists over the years and I’ve been reassured many times that the hypnotist wouldn’t be engaging at all if they weren’t also enjoying the experience. But it’s still a nagging thought that pops up occasionally when I’ve gone particularly deep and don’t remember the specifics of how I was reacting to the session.

Anyway, I was hoping I could start a discussion here because the majority of my conversations regarding this have been one on one, and I think a larger forum would go further in clarifying this worry for me and any other subs that might feel this way.

If you stare at the same spot for a long enough time, your retina's cones experience fatigue. Retinal fatigue makes your brain register colors in an illogical and fun way.

Stare at the center, and see how the colors start disappearing and appearing, moving and flowing. Have I animated that? Or is that just your brain playing tricks on you?

Or is all what I said just fake. And because I said it, your brain believed it. And it's just doing what I tell it to do.

If you punch yourself in the face and knock yourself out, are you really strong or really weak? Similarly, if you end up hypnotizing yourself are you a really good hypnotist or really suggestible? An interesting question...
