Nick barley heard what she said, however tilted his head confused at the word “cursed?” he repeated. although a thought came to him that made him smile at her “heh, i know that feeling…buut im sure your not as cursed as you think you are” he reassured as he held out his hand to her. 

“i know you must be scared, but surely someone’s looking for you? parents? guardians? someone right?” he asked trying to sound as soft as possible. 

damn…Nate’s better at this than i am…

he cursed in his brain, knowing he looked intimating, but he wasn’t as scary as he looked. “if you tell me where they are, or where your from i can help you get there” he offered showing the child a soft smile. 

The young girl stayed quit as the man spoke, however, at the mention of going back to U.A, Eri vigorously shook her head as she spoke, “No, I don’t want to hurt any of them..” Though, everything after the ‘no’ was much quieter and just barely at a whisper.

So many people got hurt for her sake, and she didn’t want to cause them more pain. She figured it was better to just be alone. Everyone would be better off without her.

“I...” the rest of the words faded as she lightly touched her horn, indicating that her power revolved around it.

  “Why do you think of yourself as a cursed individual?” Sabo asks with a raised eyebrow, not making any movements to get closer to her as he didn’t want to startle her but he would like to know why she felt that way. Picking up on how she seemed to be catching her breath so that meant she must have been running from somewhere or someone. Only time would tell which of the two that was, waiting patiently for her to answer him.

Cautiously touching her horn, the itchy feeling was still there, as she looked away from the man and down at the ground. “...I make people disappear forever.” She softly says, ready to turn and run away if she needed too. But this man wasn’t making any move to get closer to her.

  Ok so she didn’t want to take his hand right now that’s ok, he would stay with her as long as it was needed until she did feel safe to return to UA with him. “I understand that some hurts will never go away for you Eri, that you will have to live with them. I understand that you’re scared and don’t want to hurt anyone but you’ve done nothing of the sort.”   Moving just a little closer to her but kept a small distance to let her feel more comfortable Izuku continued speaking to Eri in a comforting tone. “ You aren’t a cursed person Eri, you just never got the chance to be shown how things are done in a safe way none of that is your fault. It’s the same with my quirk, yes it can be destructive and dangerous too but it’s how the person uses their quirk that defines it as good or bad. Do you think that I am a dangerous person Eri?”

When she saw him move closer to her, Eri quickly backed up to keep him at a distance as she softly yelled, “NO, stay back...” Her horn was itchy and she had learned with the scary bird man when it got really itchy that bad things happened around her.

Listening to him talk about his quirk, the young girl shook her head as she softly said, “...you... you don’t make anyone disappear forever...” she felt the tears falling down her face, as she added, “your quirk is not a curse.” That was clearly referring to how she made her own dad disappear when he tried to pick her up when she was younger. Though, Deku wouldn’t know that -- but Overhaul had called her ‘cursed’.

Nick heaved a sigh he hated going out in public...but if it meant walking his fox husband home. Hed do it. He just wants to be sure he was safe.

Suddenly the demon stops and looks around. He senses something...

Someones in trouble. Like he did with Nathan the first time they met.

He knew this wasnt something to he ignored, so he went and followed the feeling until he came upon an alley. He saw a little girl, she was by herself. Which to him seemed odd. Where was her parents? Was anyone looking for her?" He slowly walked up to her his long maroon jacket swayed with him as he walked. He knelt down to her level a few feet away and gave the child a small smile "hey there, are you lost? Or a runaway?" To Eri she would see dark red short hair, with one eye red and the other yellow. He was about 5'6 in highet. Crouched down he hoped she would speak to him, but understood if not. However he was going to do his best to help her.

Eri had been hiding next to a garbage can, hoping no one would see her. Tucking her legs to her chest, she cautiously touched her horn as it felt itchy. 

‘i’m sorry... ’ she murmured the words though they were barely audible, before she heard footsteps coming into the alley where she hid herself. And tried to push herself as far back into the shadows of the trash as she could so the person didn’t see her. However, that plan didn’t work when the stranger had addressed her.

“....cursed...” it was the only thing to come from her mouth as she cast her gaze away from the person, and looked down at her bare feet.

   “Hey now Eri it’s ok if you’re feeling scared or anything like that and I’m not mad at you for running away I just want to know why. If you can’t say it now that’s fine too but can we go back to UA so that you’re not out here all alone? It’s beginning to look like it could rain and I would hate for you to be out here and get sick.” Holding out a hand to the small girl, not once having an angry or upset look on his face.   He was patient and understanding with Eri, trying to look for a reason why she would feel the need to run away. Maybe it was out of habit from trying to escape in the past before he and Mirio met her, maybe she had a bad nightmare or it could be something else all together.

Hearing the words. He wasn’t mad? Why? She was nothing but a burden to everyone. The moment she saw Deku-san’s hand reach out toward her, Eri pulled away as she whispered, barely audible, “....n...no..... I..” 

      I don’t want to hurt anyone.

The words got caught in her throat. 

She knew that Deku-san was nice. She knew that he was trying to help her. But she had almost killed him with her Quirk. 

      She was dangerous! 

She was.... cursed!

Leaning against a wall in an alleyway to catch her breath, Eri heard the unfamiliar voice as she looked up and seeing the man. 

Taking a step backwards, her bare feet shifting slightly on the ground, as she whispered, “stay away from me... I’m cursed.” The last part of her statement was barely audible to anyone who wasn’t paying attention as she kept her distance from the man.

She had just emerged from an alleyway. Small pants from how hard she had pushed herself to get away from the school building. Though, hearing Deku-san’s voice, the young girl looked in the direction of it.

‘why was Deku-san here?’ She thought, as he tumbled down to the ground in front of her before standing back up.

She paused, hearing the concerned tone in his voice.

I don’t belong with everyone...

         I’m just a burden.

Eri wanted to speak but seeing Deku-san -- out of all the people -- who could’ve come after her wasn’t allowing the words to come out.

{ referencing this because Eri decided that this is gonna be a thing… so ah… yeah, feel free to send things of your muse discovering she’s gone and going after her. Or if you have a muse that isn’t at U.A. send things of them finding this scared lost girl. }

     Maybe it would be better off for her to just run away. 

Eri had run away so much when she was with Overhaul that it had almost become second nature for her. She had been able to escape from those watching her while with the scary bird man – even if she was eventually caught by him again. 

But if she ran away now. Would anyone really care or notice if she disappeared? Aizawa-san… everyone… was very busy right now.

As she carefully got up from the seat, slipping her shoes off as it was easier for her to run without them after the years of running away barefoot. 

      ‘no one will miss me.’ She thought, as she snuck out of the U.A. teacher’s lounge and carefully got out of the school building without anyone seeing her. Getting outside and past the school gate, she made a dash away from the U.A. and even ducking into alleyways as a means of staying away from people. 

She could feel her horn hurting even more as she ran. And whenever it hurt and she lost control people got hurt or disappeared forever. She couldn’t let anyone get hurt anymore because of her.

Do you really think you can escape from your quirk and what it does because Chisaki is dead? It's not him that caused destruction and pain to you and everyone else. It's you! And as long as you live, your quirk will keep hurting people! You almost killed Izuku! And you will keep destroying, no matter what you do! There is no escape for you unless you stop existing! Heroes can't save you from yourself! That's why you were abandoned! You're nothing but a curse!

Hearing the grey person’s words, Eri couldn’t help but remember the things that Overhaul had said to her. 

       ‘this little pest is cursed.’

Even remembering the last thing that she had heard her mom had said about her while on the phone.

         ‘what Eri considers a burden?’

She was nothing but a burden to everyone. She knew that. All she ever did was bring pain and hurt to other people. Deku-san, Lemillion-san, and everyone else would’ve been better off had they never met her.

Reaching up and touching her horn, it was starting to hurt again, as she thought of all the pain she caused to people. All of the people that got hurt trying to save her. How she had almost killed Deku-san because she couldn’t stop her power herself. 

“....I... I know....” She whispers softly, the words barely audible.

Maybe it would be better if she left. If she ran away from everyone. No one would ever get hurt from her being around ever again.
