Hi guys…. About new leaf.
So exam season is FINALLY OVER (who else cheered). And I finally opened google docs and it was a MESS… hopefully the new chapter will be out by the next two weeks (I’m going on holiday)… I might be doing a rewrite bc there are some things I’m not extremely satisfied with but that’s okay I think. I’ll post the next chapter and get started on a small Asami interlude.

She leans in to kiss you, and something in your brain stutters. Your heart starts pounding. All you can think about are their lips and teeth digging into your flesh, devouring you. Back when you were too small, too helpless, too pathetic to do anything else but grovel for money. Anything to keep you and Bolin fed and safe for one more night. Korra deepens the kiss, and you don’t smell her soft musky scent, but the overpowering pungent stink of sweaty, unwashed bodies and stale alcohol. Your heart pounds and you jerk away. Korra looks at you, big blue eyes hurt and confused. The noodles, you mumble, not meeting her gaze. You can’t look into her eyes and see betrayal and hurt on her face. They’re gonna burn. I should go check on them. You make your excuse and flee to the stove, so you don’t have to look at her. You can feel her eyes on you, picking you apart and analyzing you in that way that she does, as if she can see right through you, right down to the dark dirty disgusting corners of your soul. It amazes you how she keeps coming back. How she keeps thinking you’re worthwhile, you’re someone worthy of her attention and concern. If she knew any of it… If she knew the real you, the things you’ve seen. Fuck, the things you’ve done… She’d run away and never look back.

so I'm thinking about making some interludes for Bolin and Asami, especially Asami... thinking about them in the context of the story instead of actually finishing the story.....
Turning a new leaf (An equalist!mako au): Prologue
Mako quietly crept into the apartment. It was five o’clock in the morning. He held his breath, hoping his brother wouldn't hear him go inside. All he had to do was skip that one squeaky plank and everything would be completely okay-
”SQUEAK” Mako inaudibly cursed soundlessly, before looking around in panic. So much for being discreet, he thought. Fast, he hid his bag under the sofa and changed the green scarf to his red one..
“Mako, what are you doing?” Bolin murmured, with bags under his eyes and hair everywhere. The sixteen year old boy went down the ladder slowly to stand beside Mako. The boy didn't quite reach his older brother`s height, he barely reached his shoulder. Sometimes the older brother blamed himself, sometimes he could not help but think that the cause of his little brother´s lack of growth was due to the fact of malnourishment from when they lived on the street.
“Uhh, nothing special. I just went on a walk.” Bolin looked at Mako suspiciously, then looked out of the window, then back at Mako. “Seriously? In this weather. Do you think I´m stupid or something?” He looked tired as he said that. “Yeah, it's refreshing to walk in this weather. You should try it some time, Bolin.” Mako said that in a stern voice, hoping that Bolin wouldn't ask anymore questions about his absence.
“Whatever, I´ll just go back to sleep.” Bolin inaudibly whispered, he kept his head low while walking back to the ladder. “Wait, Bolin. Remember, you have the hall from 8am to 11am today.” Bolin just nodded and went up the ladder. The second he was out of eye-sight, Mako released a sigh of relief. Mako hated lying to his brother like that, he kept on telling himself that it was best that way. Bolin knowing anything about his other jobs would break him, especially after what happened with the Triple Threat Triad, especially with his attachment to bending. Mako did the hard work and Bolin would know nothing about it.

I haven’t posted much about it on this blog because I have so few followers here compared to main and other side blogs, but genuinely, if you are a fan of Avatar, you need to be doing everything you can to support and liberate palestine and end this genocide. ATLA is about a fucking genocide and the devastating impacts of colonialism and a brutal military occupation. Well, we’re witnessing a genocide and the devastating impacts of colonialism and a brutal military occupation right now. If you are a fan of ATLA or LOK you fucking need to be talking about palestine and Palestinian liberation. You need to be calling your elected officials, going to protests, talking to people in real life, resharing and uplifting Palestinian voices, boycotting Israeli products, reading and educating yourself on what’s going on and the history behind it, and doing everything you can to stop this genocide.
We all need to be talking about palestine. Silence and “neutrality” and inaction is complicity.
