This is an illustration for the artbook 'Evilbook.' I seriously doubted myself throughout the process, and I'm still not sure if I captured that disturbing mood I wanted. But years later, I actually enjoy looking at it — it turned out okay. Also, it reminds me of the days when nobody knew about AI art, and I was still confident that learning to draw wasn't a waste of time. Those were the times, man.
This is my first attempt to create a book illustration. I usually make illustrations for artbooks, but this case was different. I’m in love with the Malazan Book of the Fallen, and I had to at least give it a try and draw something for it.

This is another one of my favorite pieces. One day, I really wanted to paint something 'real' — something in the spirit of the Old Masters. At the time, I was very into Rembrandt and his era, so the choice was simple: I needed symbolism, rich drapery, and a skull — it was a must. I worked on this painting for about a week. I was incredibly happy when I heard my teacher say, 'Finally, you're painting something worthwhile.' And since then, I don't think I've painted anything quite as 'worthwhile' since. At least, I haven't taken on a serious project in a long time
Spent the weekend taking photos at a tournament at my HEMA club.
I really loved capturing not only the fights themselves, but also all the little things happening around them — people warming up, talking, waiting, laughing, getting ready, catching their breath.
There’s something really nice about photographing the whole atmosphere around an event, not just the main action.
This is one of my favorite illustrations that I’ve made. It was originally printed in an artbook about constellations, and later it was used as an illustration for an unofficial supplement to the DnD rules, in a book about birth signs.

These are drawings from a series I called “Sketches of the Dark Middle Ages.” This is the first part; I was looking for the right palette and mood.
I made a render of another costume variant for this raven. I found a really nice brush in the standard Procreate set — just the thing for making these slightly messy sketches without much effort :)
