the artist I recommended talks about it too, but blurring lines can be great, I usually do it for my riso comics, and for any gradient map pieces.
left is my inks, right is my inks duplicated, blurred, and placed underneath the normal ink layer.

Below- for gradient maps it's especially helpful to blur if your pen doesn't have many semi transparent pixels, it needs those to have an effect on the lines, and blurring it gives it those pixels
I don't tend to blur my colour layers, but maybe I should!
you know what tho i am proud of this. I did not know there were actually resources to make paper crease effects (retrosupply) until After I did this cover, so I hand painted it all, looking at old books for ref.
I truly love the vintage look your art has, it produces a feeling of nostalgia and so much warmth in a way I've been dying to reproduce in my art, to make something feel like it's from a scanned old thin paper magazine
I was wondering, if you would ever consider lending some of your overlays or -in it's exception- any resources to find them? I'm mostly interested in the paper grain look!
I also loved your coloring technique of the just the three primary colors! I've spent the last three nights trying to replicate that too.

I use true grit texture supply's paper textures!
I haven't tried most of them, I'm a simple creature and stick with the ones I like, but they're all great.
Pretty much everything I use (brushes etc) is from true grit, they're definitely worth it. (the three colour riso is the rizzcraft set)
Honestly all I do is slap a texture on to age things, I'm not usually going to any effort unless it's a cover or something. You could probably find some free textures online, deviantart used to have some, or you could scan the blank end pages of an old book, etc.
