This travel palette was designed with 19 hexagon shaped pans (about 10mm wide and 10mm deep) , that you can fill up with your own tube of watercolor paint (or gouache).
If you use store-bought half-pans, you can take out the grid and put 10 half-pans in the box (you can secure the pans with double sided tape if you want to avoid the store bought half-pans moving around).
Another feature is that you can remove the grid that holds the 3D printed pans so you can put bigger pans in it, remove the existing pans easier or if you are not an artist, you can still use the box to keep some knick-knacks in it.
This travel palette was designed by me (an artist) and by my husband (who can create unique 3D printable objects).
It's light weight, small, has a mixing area and 19 spaces for colors. It's held together by two neodynium magnets and a hinge.
The mixing area is a white plastic sheet that can be removed if needed.
