HE knew which book she was reading, and that it was her favorite. although, he did like to rile her up a little every day. would it be him if he didn’t ? probably not. he shrugged some but when she asked if he was hungry, he perked up. ❝ hell yeah i’m hungry. ❞ he said, sitting up. ❝ nah, i don’t have any particular craving or anything, so whatever it is you’re in the mood for, i’m fine. ❞ he said, ❝ you know i’m not very picky. ❞ he probably is, but that’s okay.

“Hm...you make a very convincing point.” Maka muses with a small, playful smile. She steps away from the couch and wanders over to their kitchen, tracing a hand on the fridge until she meets the handle so she could pull it open.

“I believe I have enough stuff to make some spaghetti.” She calls out. “Simple meal. But delicious~.”

❝… and besides, i know how you get when you’re in the middle of one of those books you’ve read 30 times, i didn’t really want a book to the skull… ❞

Crossing her arms over her chest, Maka raised an eyebrow. “’One of those books’, Soul? It’s The Dark Side of the Moon. My favorite.” She wasn’t mad at him though. Wouldn’t be for something that pointless--well, unless he had actually interrupted her while in the middle of reading.

Maka moved across the rest of the room and leaned against the arm of the couch. “You hungry? I know it’s my night to cook but I didn’t plan anything since I thought you went out. Do you want something in particular...?”

SOUL is going to sit here and pout. why ? because he’s hungry. is he going to do something about it ? probably not. why ? because he’s waiting for maka.

“What?” Maka half expected Soul to be out of the apartment when she strolled out of her room after a long afternoon of reading. Instead, the Weapon was sitting at the couch watching TV, but with his arms crossed over his chest and that familiar crease in his eyebrows that told her he’d been pouting because he was either bored or hungry. Probably the latter.

“It’s Summer break; I figured you would be out with Black*Star. Why didn't you say something?”
