                   the ironic thing was — the actual accident of his daughter bumping into a pretty girl had worked better than when it was planned.  maybe it was some higher being rewarding him for actually being good,  for a change.   ❝ alright,  well ‘whatever floats your boat’ is a little wordy,  i’ll stick with lil, ❞   ethan grinned,  though as he felt masie tug at his hand he knew she was getting mad at him for taking up too much of the girl’s time for himself.  after all,  this was her friend.  as they stood on line again,  he watched as the blonde addressed his daughter,  peering down as she jumped excitedly and announced she liked chocolate.    ❝ so, one chocolate replacement cone and one… ? ❞   he trailed off,  as he looked at lily expectedly.   ❝ if you can’t decide on one flavor,  like i said,  i got twenty bucks so i could spring for two. ❞ 

emerald hues roll as she tucks a stray stand                                   of hair behind her ear, resisting every fiber in her being that was screaming at her to jokingly flip him off. she managed to ignore it but, only due to their present company. pink stained lips easily remained in a grin, a loud giggle ripping into the air as his daughter bounced up and down about chocolate...     a girl after lil’s own heart.              ❛          oh i most certainly need two scoops    ——     y’know, for the sake of my mental health...           ❜          hands shoved into the back pockets of her jeans as she joked, eyes analyzing the menu while mouth twists in concentration. this was a big decision for her, after all, this was her last treat before she locked herself in her apartment for the weekend to work on her final projects.              ❛          i think i’m gonna get cookies and cream and peanut butter fudge...   what about you, ethan, what’re you going to get   ??           ❜       she matches his expectant gaze, orbs gleaming with curiosity.

tongue darts out to wet thin lips, brows raising                    and head-nodding once, confirming he was in fact too much for her to handle. his head tips back against his seat, charming features daring her to challenge him while azure orbs fixate on the sway in her hips. a wry chuckle erupts from his throat, sounding much more humourous than it was, eyes hesitantly blinking from her body to meet her gaze. it’s in that moment his entire demeanor changes, his smirk falls and the hand that had fallen to the wayside due to magnolia’s now rises, grabbing her face with calloused fingers. the action was rough,   AGGRESSIVE   even, but not once was it painful for his witch.         ❛      DO NOT...   start something you cannot finish, magnolia.      ❜
