Day 10 Key Benefits of my business !!!! #Meetmysmallbiz challenge Beyond making me extra happy, at this point of my business I don't see a great benefit from buying me and not another crafter, but it is a fact that buying handmade is buying love. Supporting small business is really easy, not necessarily means buying something, buy sharing with friends, commenting on posts, and recommending the brand, really boost some brands. The benefits of buying a handmade product are plenty, firsts of all you get unique pieces, specially with bracelets, sometimes making the same pattern wont make the same result. Second of all, it gives the opportunity to the crafter or artist to express its art. Consuming local is also a way if fighting against big enterprises that pollute and don't play fair with mediocre wages for their workers and terrible conditions, and finally the proud that brings selling something to someone, that implies that the work is good enough that somebody is willing to pay. Sometimes as artists we enter in a loop of lack of confidence and costumers help to break this loop. This rainbow celtic infinity loop bracelet has given me such good luck, was one of the last sales I did back in Mexico and when I arrived to Ireland, I sell another one, a lot of craft fellas have asked me about how I did it, so this is a pretty basic tutorial, please let me know it this is enough. And make sure to save it and share it. I made this bracelet a while ago actually was one of my firsts custom orders, from my colleagues at my former job. It is the pattern number #2135 on friendship-bracelets.net. This was at the very beginning of this adventure, If someone would have told me how far will I get with this project, I wouldn't believe it. A lot of learning in the journey, but most importantly I’m doing this because I love it, every time someone ask me for a new design or pattern, I get excited, besides it helps me with my expenses. A late post of my last week craft show... it was my first and I really enjoyed all the progress: from creating a collection of bracelets to interact with customers, specially little ones. We had a blast with the letter beads, kids really loved writing their names and creating bracelets with me. Getting creative with my alphabet beads...in Spanish that means “Batman’s grandma” it’s an expression or slang doesnt really mean anything if you take it literally but the first part of it "abuelita..." is suposed to sound like the commonly used phrase (also slang) "a huevo" (I know they dont sound too much alike) but trust me, thats what it means "a huevo" as I said is also a slang so it doesnt mean anything literally, and has nothing to do with eggs the exact meaning/translation would be "f*ck yeah" and just as the word "f*ck" in english, the phrase in spanish "a huevo" is a bad word so people often use the substitute "abuelita de batman" to say "f*ck yeah" without saying the bad word ... have you ever heard of this Batman’s grandma phrase ???? https://www.instagram.com/p/B6MZ6vPlje1/?igshid=79uxivnzfh29

English below 👇🏼 Nunca son demasiadas pulseras...todo CASI listo para el @balbuena.bazar este fin de semana. lo más importante es que lo estoy haciendo con el corazón y con amor. Estoy segura que estoy en las mejores manos para debutar como expositora en un bazar de artesanías. Desde niña descubrí que los detalles hechos a mano llenaban un huequito del corazón de mi mamá cuando le regalaba algo hecho por mí -de niña era imposible que yo le comprara a mi mamá algo con mis propios medios cualquier cosa de marca o muy cara-. Con el tiempo ese amor empezó a propagarse regalando artículos hechos a mano a mis seres queridos y la pasión por entregar pulseras se me hizo una costumbre. Casi todas las personas importantes en mi vida han recibido un obsequio 💝 hecho por mí, principalmente pulseras ahora ese acto de amor tiene la oportunidad de crecer y llegar a nuevas manos y corazones. Por fin me lanzo a una plataforma que tiene una ideología similar a la mía: no se trata de lucrar sino ofrecer artículos únicos, originales y llenos de pasión a gente que desea llevar a casa o incluso regalar a alguien piezas únicas y sobre todo con precio justo donde se valore mi trabajo y a la vez haga feliz a alguien más. 🇺🇸🇬🇧 There are never too many bracelets... everything is ALMOST set for the bazar this weekend. the most important thing is that I'm doing it with my heart and with love. I'm sure I'm in the best hands to debut as an exhibitor in a craft fair. As a child I discovered that hand-made details filled a little hole in my mother's heart when I gave her something made by me -as a child it was impossible for me to buy my mother something with my own means, anything branded or very expensive. Eventually that love began to spread by giving away handmade items to my loved ones, and the passion for handing out bracelets became a habit. Almost all the important people in my life have received a gift 💝 made by me, mainly bracelets now that act of love has the opportunity to grow and reach new hands. At last I launch myself to a platform that has an ideology similar to mine: it is not about profit but to offer unique items, original and full of passion at a fair price.
