Welcome to Malignant-Entities! This is a roleplay/ask blog dedicated to the Murder Drone OCs Mal, Chroma, and Kenos.

Malik Prachett (They/Them) - Anxious and kindhearted, Mal used to work as a nursing assistant in a hospital. When humanity was wiped out on Copper 9, Mal learned all they could about mechanics and became a medic for the Worker Defense Force. It was on a scouting mission with the WDF that they faced off with a disassembly drone and consumed her core. Now possessed by not one, but two malicious disassemblers, Mal has to hide their corrupted nature from the rest of the workers at Outpost 3, all while trying to keep the colony safe and healthy. They suffer from a defect that causes hyper-mobility and joint pain. On most days, they use a cane, and they have a wheelchair for flare-ups. They inherited the solver powers that were locked inside Chroma and Kenos.

Chroma (He/Him) - A sadistic disassembly drone who loves to toy with his prey. Best described as colorful in both appearance and personality, he learned early on that struggling against his nature and purpose would cause him more harm than good. He operates behind a layer of separation, hardly considering those he interacts with as alive, even fellow disassemblers. He was defeated and consumed by Kenos only because he didn't take her seriously as a threat.

Kenos (She/Her) - Kenos is cold and calculated. The only time she seems to experience anything close to joy is when she's violently wiping living beings from existence. Quiet and territorial, she clashed frequently with Chroma, waiting patiently for the day he let his guard down. She is an immovable object, completely dedicated to her impressive kill count. She bickers with Chroma often and only gets along with him when it comes to harassing Mal.

It had been a month since the encounter with multiversal tessa, consumatia spread the word of what happened but aiya had aired a bit of caution…did lead to mal meeting mt briefly, but with a HANDI gun on their person, they had hopes of survival if iottle found another way to universe hop, even if they were out scavenging again

Mal had been picking apart the same spire for a while now. They gripped the side of it tightly with their wings as they found some smaller corpse pieces to shove into their bag. Limbs and oil were easy to get. Vital chips and wires and delicate bits were much rarer and much more valuable. They and Op would need everything they could get for repairs and upgrades. Mal chewed nervously on the handle of their screwdriver. It felt like they were preparing for war. They carefully pulled out a mostly intact core and let go of the spire. As they fell, their wings caught the air. They landed with a few gentle flaps.

"Core transplants almost never work."

"And when they do, there's complications. You should know, Malik."

"Hey, I'm just getting spares of every part I can. You never know when an empty core could come in handy."

Mal shrugged at the apparitions of Chroma and Kenos as they made their way to their wheelchair. Although they could walk. It was painful to do so while carrying a bunch of heavy stuff. So, they sat on their chair and began wheeling back towards the outpost with goodies in tow.

"Some of this stuff will save lives. I know it."

As they moved back towards the bunker, they saw something…it was…red energy collecting in the snow.

It cricked and crackled before a shape formed from it….and Iottle’s shape formed.

He coldly took in his enviorment

Mal recognized Dr. Iottle from the description they had been given by MT. They immediately fumbled out of their wheelchair with their cane in hand. They left the bag of parts behind on the chair, but stayed close. It would be a shame to lose them, especially to someone like him. Their free hand hovered towards the weapon in their pocket. They didn't want to resort to violence if they could help it. Chroma and Kenos stared intensely, though only Mal could see them.

"H-hi! Oh robo-god. Hello. I'm Mal. You are..?"

“Dr Craftmin Zelle Iottle”

He glares at the drone before him, he’s holding himself with malice as he stares at mal, it’s obvious he can’t see chroma and kenos’s visages thankfully, he only glares all his anger at mal.

“Judging by that reaction, I have been told about. How Annoying.”

He readies himself

“Will you cooperate? And let me take this over and wipe out those sisters and such, or do I have to pry this world from out from my niece’s nose by FORCE?”

Wings sprouted from Mal's back as they flapped hard, kicking up a cloud of loose snow. Absolutely terrified of engaging, they turned and launched into the air, flying away as fast as they could towards the outpost. Kenos and Chroma had come out now in tail form. Kenos was holding onto the bag of parts with her mouth.

"You are such a coward."

"What am I supposed to do?! I've never raised my fists in my life!"

"You let me do the dirty work. That, or you can lead him directly to the outpost as you're doing now."

Mal held their cane close to their chest, swearing under their breath.

"Do you actually think you can stop him?"

"If the little human solver thing could, I'm sure I can."

"You're either vastly overestimating yourself or vastly underestimating Tessa."

Chroma would've rolled his eyes if he could've. Mal bit their lip and landed not too far away. They hid the bag under the snow before swaying and falling to their knees. Strangely, the eyes only changed shape, not color. Their hair was dark like Kenos' but had Chroma's highlights. Seems the two were fighting over who got to, well, fight.

"What are you doing in here? I made it clear that I was the one on the field."

"You lost to me before. You're not good at fighting."

Chroma's eye twitched.

"I'd love to have another verbal sparring match with you, but now is not the time, simpleton!"

"I agree. Go away."

Mal, now in apparition form, stared at their body fight with itself. A sense of dread was rising.

they both heard the sound of footsteps coming…and they were coming fast, iottle did not care for bickering and seemed to be using it as a way to track them, a determined look on his face

“How typical”

His two main hands shifted to saws while his tail changed to a flame thrower as he approached swiftly, either chroma and kenos worked together as a unit or this was gonna end poorly

("AHHHHH HE'S BOOKING IT! MOVE!")

Mal disappeared as Chroma and Kenos barely managed to jump out of the way of Iottle's charge. They wrapped their wings around themself as the flamethrower hit. They screeched in unison. Kenos swiped, but soon realized she didn't have claws. Solver or not, she was still in a worker drone body. Chroma kicked the flamethrower away and scrambled back.

"Solver. Right. Use that!"

Charred and weak, Chroma summoned his solver and yanked a stop sign out of the ground to smack Iottle with. Kenos already had them all back on their feet and was poised to lunge.

"We need to regenerate!"

"We'll get shot in the back."

("Just go!")

Mal's voice rang in their collective head. Chroma forced everyone behind a building for at least a split second to regroup.

the smack annoyed iottle but it did briefly knock him back, ironically without any visual, he only saw the glimpse…as mal and co finally remembered their weapon that op gifted them, thankfully undamaged from all the chaos

Iottle was looking around

“WHERE’D YA GO YA LITTLE SHIT?”

His arms swaped to these, his left the sniper rifle and his right…a nanite acid shotgun?

And his tail swapped to this

Kenos growled, fumbling Op's weapon out of Mal's pocket.

("Do you know how to shoot?")

"I'm a disassembly drone. It's built-in knowledge," she hissed under her breath.

"I've never seen you use a gun," Chroma quietly added.

Instead of responding, Kenos poked her head out and aimed for Iottle's head.

("Whoah! Don't kill him!")

"You're asking the murder drone not to murder?"

They took too long and were noticed. Kenos pulled back as a gunshot rang out.

"No talking."

She jumped out, firing a shot at the doctor's body.

He dipped and dodge, happily firing back, both his eyes skulls as he did so, so THAT’s what it looks like when his drones get murder happy

Sniping and shottgunning in their direction, his tail at the ready if they take flight

“I’LL MAKE DISASSSEMBLY DRONES WORK LOOK LIKE A JOKE”

He says….god he really has quite the ego

“ALL OF YOU DRONES AND WEAK SYMPATHIZERS LIKE OP DESERVED TO BE NOTHING BUT SPIRE SKEWERS”

….those are fighting words

Chroma pulled some rubble off of a building and held it between him and Iottle. It blocked the fire, but the concrete was sizzling away quickly under the nanite acid.

"He's just like the rest."

("I don't know, he seems even worse than most humans!")

"His empty metal shell will go right next to his bones."

"Don't let that nobody rile you up. His taunts are child's play."

Chroma tossed the melting rubble at Iottle. Although he wasn't showing it like Kenos, the doctor was getting under his silicone skin. A glob of acid almost hit the trio, but Kenos caught it with her own solver. She lobbed it back towards Iottle and shot it midair, causing it to explode near him.

The nanite acid that was blasted at him caused him to animalistically hisss, ironic really, dd’s and solvers could hiss and purr, yet he still saw himself above them all, funny in a way, but he wasn’t laughing at being hit.

His left arm swapped to a rpg and his right became a grenade launcher, his tail shifted as well

Changing to this, allowing to start flying in the air without any wings, using energy, though to kenos and chroma…it’s a big fat target as he rains down attacks on them

“DIE!”

The trio in one was blasted back by one of the explosives. They flew through the air and skidded on the asphalt. They groaned, entire body burning with pain. They felt like their joints could practically pop off. Their sensitive form was not built for fighting.

("I can't take this. We're going to die...")

"And here I thought you were the optimist."

Kenos forced them off of the ground. Pure spite kept her from collapsing.

"Keep pushing. Kill him."

"We can barely move."

Kenos reached for Op's weapon, only to realize it had been left in a nearby crater. Chroma lifted his hand. A solver symbol flickered and fizzled out. The trio could only stare as a missile flew their way. They stared wide-eyed.

"This is it."

They went limp.

When the smoke cleared, Iottle noticed a strange shield made of code encompassing the drone. They held up a pure white solver. Their eyes glowed bright like a star.

"back off."

Their mouth didn't move. Three voices whispered as one in Iottle's mind.

“Oh…that’s a new one”

He grinned like a cheshire cat

“But I won’t back off that easily”

All three weapon ports shift to this as he charges and swings

The combined trio easily dodged out of way of the wild charge. They shoved their cane into his back, forcing the doctor onto the ground. They stepped on his tail, grinding their foot into the arm-like appendage and crushing it. The white solver symbol that took up their screen blazed into Iottle's soul. With a flick of their wrist, they summoned a NULL, holding it dangerously close to Iottle's face.

"you are not welcome here."

He chuckled, and it evolves into a full blown cackle

“And yet like an infection, you all will have to fight me off again and again….are you really ready for that?”

He manically grins…further than any solver or disassembly drone would be able to.

In their combined mind the realization hit that this man was worst of humanity itself, to protect drones, to protect the good humans that had become drones, to protect the multiverse. He must be brought down a few pegs.

And it starts here

The fusion did not respond. There was nothing they could say that would matter to a man like Iottle. To him this was a game. Predator and prey. Although Chroma and Kenos were dying to show the doctor who was truly the hunter and the hunted, Mal had a better idea. Coldly, they grabbed Iottle by the throat and lifted him off the ground. They whisked the NULL away and plunged their hand into his chest. Effortlessly, sloooowly, they pulled Iottle's core out. They turned the thing over in their hands, a smile starting to form on their face. They lifted it to their maw, ready to bite it clean in half...

(What are we doing?!)

The fusion winced and held its head.

(Killing him? What else?)

(We can't-)

(Do not make us unravel.)

They shook their head, trying their best to focus. Using their solver, they picked up Iottle's empty body and rearranged its matter. Taking its place was a metal cage. They quickly tossed Iottle's core inside and locked the door.

"threat neutralized."

The core scuttled around in it’s cage angrily and for a bit threatened the thing before it

But eventually it stopped

The core of craftmin stared at them, the singular beady eye made the core of the typical solver drones core look more inviting, a solver drones core looked alive at least…this looked at them coldly, with no emotions to speak of, it just stared for a moment, as if gathering every little bit of intel it could

Suddenly, a more robotic version of his voice came out from the core

“Weak”

“Mal prachett. Weak.”

“Pacifist.”

“Weak.”

“Can’t even avenge the “good” humans”

Chroma and kenos can tell what he’s doing, he’s trying to ragebait the pacifist to make him break his code of pacifism, even if this core thing can escape easily…he wants to break mal first before he leaves, or atleast attempting to.

There are many ways to break Mal. Unfortunately for Iottle, this was not one of them. Their visor switched briefly to regular eyes purely to give a look of mild disgust before flickering back to the solver. They rattled the cage, Iottle flinging around helplessly inside.

"my friends worked at a hospital. none of them would want us to kill you."

They kneeled to the ground and popped up into the air, wings spreading out. They headed towards Op's workshop.

"you have a big ego, thinking you can break us without even knowing who we are."

It seemed any anger or fear had melted away. Iottle had proven himself absolutely pathetic.

For a moment iottle just watched them fly away, just for a moment, but a moment longer then he should have really, he could get out of this cage and teleport back to his base in no time

Yet the line struck him for a moment

“You have a big ego, thinking you can break us without even knowing who we are”, those t rang in his little mind

“Guess I’ll have to do more research.”

He said before finally teleporting away back yo his universe….taking the cage with him…

Mal had been picking apart the same spire for a while now. They gripped the side of it tightly with their wings as they found some smaller corpse pieces to shove into their bag. Limbs and oil were easy to get. Vital chips and wires and delicate bits were much rarer and much more valuable. They and Op would need everything they could get for repairs and upgrades. Mal chewed nervously on the handle of their screwdriver. It felt like they were preparing for war. They carefully pulled out a mostly intact core and let go of the spire. As they fell, their wings caught the air. They landed with a few gentle flaps.

"Core transplants almost never work."

"And when they do, there's complications. You should know, Malik."

"Hey, I'm just getting spares of every part I can. You never know when an empty core could come in handy."

"We need to regenerate!"

Chroma tossed the melting rubble at Iottle. Although he wasn't showing it like Kenos, the doctor was getting under his silicone skin. A glob of acid almost hit the trio, but Kenos caught it with her own solver. She lobbed it back towards Iottle and shot it midair, causing it to explode near him.

Changing to this, allowing to start flying in the air without any wings, using energy, though to kenos and chroma…it’s a big fat target as he rains down attacks on them

The trio in one was blasted back by one of the explosives. They flew through the air and skidded on the asphalt. They groaned, entire body burning with pain. They felt like their joints could practically pop off. Their sensitive form was not built for fighting.

Chroma tossed the melting rubble at Iottle. Although he wasn't showing it like Kenos, the doctor was getting under his silicone skin. A glob of acid almost hit the trio, but Kenos caught it with her own solver. She lobbed it back towards Iottle and shot it midair, causing it to explode near him.

The nanite acid that was blasted at him caused him to animalistically hisss, ironic really, dd’s and solvers could hiss and purr, yet he still saw himself above them all, funny in a way, but he wasn’t laughing at being hit.

His left arm swapped to a rpg and his right became a grenade launcher, his tail shifted as well

Changing to this, allowing to start flying in the air without any wings, using energy, though to kenos and chroma…it’s a big fat target as he rains down attacks on them

The trio in one was blasted back by one of the explosives. They flew through the air and skidded on the asphalt. They groaned, entire body burning with pain. They felt like their joints could practically pop off. Their sensitive form was not built for fighting.

Mal had been picking apart the same spire for a while now. They gripped the side of it tightly with their wings as they found some smaller corpse pieces to shove into their bag. Limbs and oil were easy to get. Vital chips and wires and delicate bits were much rarer and much more valuable. They and Op would need everything they could get for repairs and upgrades. Mal chewed nervously on the handle of their screwdriver. It felt like they were preparing for war. They carefully pulled out a mostly intact core and let go of the spire. As they fell, their wings caught the air. They landed with a few gentle flaps.

"Here, a gift. These are a little sweeter than the typical double As. I had a gift bag, but Kenos ate it."

"Paper and plastic have a good texture."

“Though that said, I do wonder, something about you mal…if not too intrusive, as I float to deal with my problem but…how come you need a cane or a wheel chair?”

Which makes them all realize…they’ve barely seen her touch her feet to the ground except when sitting

Mal wasn’t totally sure how to address the whole Cyn situation. They weren’t close to anyone involved. They were sort of a background character in that way. If anything, Connie would know way more.

“As you three recall…I was intentionally made damaged…my parts and such were scavenged and ensured each and every single one was pretty damaged but still could function, each and every part, every rusted bolt, even my voice modulator, before mama gained admin over me, was pretty banged up…but even with my healing in my own hands and being able to turn into my own true form…the parts aren’t fully fixed still, it’s fixed but..only slightly, my feet and legs still hurt when I touch the ground, I can still feel the rust on some of my teeth and my magnets, the way it all just…feels off, even if it hurts less, my mind registers it the same…despite it being lessened, I do my best to limit my time walking cus of it…only do I walk when disguised as some other drone which I…should probably stop doing with my choice of disguise…eheh”

She softly looked into her oil

“Im sure in time my legs will fully heal but with all my healing has to do…it’s…a long way to go…and I’ll probably have to learn to walk anyhow, solver weight distribution is…funky”

She looked at mal calmly, a soft smile

“Im glad to see you have some aid’s for yourself”

I obviously had it rough with Chroma and Kenos, and Uzi allegedly devoured half of her class, so I was weary of anything that wasn't the standard worker look. It was even harder to keep my cool with Aiya, but I'm so happy I did. She was so amazing with all of us. Op has been a huge help too. It's a little weird to feel my body, uh, change, but it helps Chroma and Kenos feel a lot more at home, so to speak."

“As you three recall…I was intentionally made damaged…my parts and such were scavenged and ensured each and every single one was pretty damaged but still could function, each and every part, every rusted bolt, even my voice modulator, before mama gained admin over me, was pretty banged up…but even with my healing in my own hands and being able to turn into my own true form…the parts aren’t fully fixed still, it’s fixed but..only slightly, my feet and legs still hurt when I touch the ground, I can still feel the rust on some of my teeth and my magnets, the way it all just…feels off, even if it hurts less, my mind registers it the same…despite it being lessened, I do my best to limit my time walking cus of it…only do I walk when disguised as some other drone which I…should probably stop doing with my choice of disguise…eheh”

“Im sure in time my legs will fully heal but with all my healing has to do…it’s…a long way to go…and I’ll probably have to learn to walk anyhow, solver weight distribution is…funky”

It was even harder to keep my cool with Aiya, but I'm so happy I did. She was so amazing with all of us. Op has been a huge help too. It's a little weird to feel my body, uh, change, but it helps Chroma and Kenos feel a lot more at home, so to speak."

“As you three recall…I was intentionally made damaged…my parts and such were scavenged and ensured each and every single one was pretty damaged but still could function, each and every part, every rusted bolt, even my voice modulator, before mama gained admin over me, was pretty banged up…but even with my healing in my own hands and being able to turn into my own true form…the parts aren’t fully fixed still, it’s fixed but..only slightly, my feet and legs still hurt when I touch the ground, I can still feel the rust on some of my teeth and my magnets, the way it all just…feels off, even if it hurts less, my mind registers it the same…despite it being lessened, I do my best to limit my time walking cus of it…only do I walk when disguised as some other drone which I…should probably stop doing with my choice of disguise…eheh”

“Im sure in time my legs will fully heal but with all my healing has to do…it’s…a long way to go…and I’ll probably have to learn to walk anyhow, solver weight distribution is…funky”
