This pecking bird toy is from Patna, India. The ball on the bottom of the string is intended to be rotated, and the birds’ heads would move up and down in turn.

This gorgeous leather waistcoat is from Montana, USA, and was acquired in 1925.

Morning! This amazing mask is from Guerrero, Mexico. It’s a big cat, probably a jaguar. The mask is made from wood and painted, with tufts of hair attached. The teeth look like they come from a pig!

These two amazingly bizarre masks are from Manaus, Brazil. They are made from tortoise shells, which have been decorated with lots of other animal remains including bones, teeth, and even an armadillo tail!
