I believe it's time for some propaganda.
Because I've been obsessed with Magnus and Alex for 5 years so like I'm ready for this.
Alex Fierro is this badass, genderfluid child of Loki that appears in the second book, and Magnus is immediately head over heels for her. Does he understand what genderfluidity is? Nope. He doesn't understand it at all. But he still loves her regardless.
They're everything to me. Magnus, who has never had so much as a crush before, and here he is, and he meets a genderfluid, transgender person, and immediately falls for her/him. And Alex, who wad disowned by his/her father because of his/her genderfluidity, who finds unwavering support and love from Magnus, who doesn't understand it but supports it with everything he has.
Not to mention that their rooms in Valhalla are identical. Everybody in Valhalla has a unique room that matches them and only them, that matches their soul.... so they are quite literally soulmates.
Magnus is such a pansexual mess. You have never seen somebody simp so hard. He loves everything about Alex and its adorable. Alex's gender doesn't even come in to play with how Magnus feels. Like, Alex kissed Magnus while he was male, and it didn't even register to Magnus until afterwards. "I'll be honest. A small part of my brain thought, Alex is male right now. I have just been kissed by a dude. How do I feel about that?The rest of my brain answered: I have just been kissed by Alex Fierro. I am absolutely great with that."
