This works but a quick change to one step: 

2. Instead of 'http' in the search and 'https' in the replace, put 'http:' and 'https:'. If you don't, any occasion of 'https' that happens to be in your coding will change to 'httpss' and fuck everything up. 

2a. If you already did the above, though, and things went awry, don't panic. Just put 'httpss' into the first engine and keep 'https' in the second and replace all again. Fixed.

Look, I don’t know why you’re so interested in this post honestly? It’s a shipper post, clearly, and from literally three years ago at that.

The person you’re talking about (who said: “didn’t he actually say that thorin falls in love with bilbo or something???? or am i wrong??? i remember him saying something along those lines”) was referring to a comment by either RA or Martin Freeman. I can’t honestly remember which. The intent was certainly there to some extent, whether you interpret it that way or not.

You don’t even seem to like the film adaptation and this is entirely in reference to the film adaptation. And if you don’t ship them, then cool. That’s your opinion and you’re allowed to it. But you know. It’s not really something that people want to debate about. Either you ship or you don’t.

If you don’t, then ignore it and talk to like-minded people about it on your own time. Or don’t. It’s honestly not that big of a deal that other people enjoy shipping something that you don’t.

Ship and let ship. That’s generally the rule of Tumblr etiquette.

I took an entire class about Italian American immigrant cuisine and how it’s a product of their unique immigrant experience. The TL;DR is that many Italian immigrants came from the south (the poor) part of Italy, and were used to a mostly vegetable-based diet. However, when they came to the US they found foods that rich northern Italians were depicted as eating, such as sugar, coffee, wine, and meat. This is why Italian Americans were the first to combine meatballs with pasta, and why a lot of Italian American food is sugary and/or fattening. Italian American cuisine is a celebration of Italian immigrants’ newfound access to foods they hadn’t been able to access back home.
