Well (oh god, am I a Phantom Manor Karen???), the one the community as nicknamed “Glitter Phantom started with so much romantic subtext with Melanie the first year you will find people who prefer him as an AU character.

To be fair, Disney kinda treats him as a separate character as well. That's why you'll see him being played like a 'Disney Prince' by a younger dancer during the parades and shows and by an older actor when he's in 'dad mode'

But aside from this technicality, the character is canonically Henry 100% of the time.

So yeah, it's kinda weird but PM has always been weird.

I need your help

I am planning to write an article about celebrities who are also Haunted Mansion fans. Outside a few names including director Guillermo Del Toro, actors Neil Patrick Harris and Ryan Gosling and SFX makeup artist Rick Baker, i don’t know who else is - maybe you can answer this ? As the Haunted Mansion fandom is mostly american, i guess there are local celebrities we don’t really know here in Europe who may be into it. Please i need help on this - thank you.

Hello! I Absolutely love your fanarts of Phantom Manor! In "my" version of the story Martha wanted Melanie to marry a wealthy man so she arranged her a marriage 4 times, but because Melanie already loved Jake she asked her father to "solve" the problem each time, what he did. Then she confessed to Henry she loved Jake, and he agreed to the wedding...until Jake told they intended to leave the town. So before he could kill him, Melanie and Jake plotted to have Henry murdered in a "mine accident".

I am one of the few who likes the idea of Mél having a darker side herself so this is right up my alley XD

Oh my god they couldn’t be more boring and overdone. When are we going to get a movie about the ghosts haunting the house and not the dumb ass losers moving into the house??

They will never get it right. The fact that they refuse to acknowledge the ‘happy’ in ‘happy haunts’ is simply hilarious at this point. Not that you can’t have a villainous ghost amongst the bunch, but the focus shouldn’t be on them.

The selling points should be the dark and surreal humor and the alluring strangeness of the mansion itself.

‘Exorcise’ and ‘Haunted Mansion’ shouldn’t even be ALLOWED in the same sentence unless the first word is used in the context of exorcising the fear of death with humor.

Disneyland Paris re-opens on the 17th of June! :D

And I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the new followers and friends I made in the past year! Your support has meant the world to me <3 special thanks to those who joined in on the madness in my PM discord server <3 you guys are incredible. More ramblings under the cut!

Phantom Manor was probalby one of the most influencial things in my life since my parents dragged me on it at the tender age of three. I metabolized and reimagined its story several times during the years both through the creation of original characters that were based on those from the ride or simply by putting not-so-subtle references to it in my work. And in my humble opinion, that’s the greatest accomplishment any story can achieve: spark a child‘s imagination and inspire more stories.

I am immensely grateful to the Imagineers for what they did with the 2018-2019 refurbishment and I hope they will continue to show this unique attraction the love it deserves. I know that the changes have been quite the divisive topic within the fandom (believe me, I understand :V) but I absolutely love them and can’t wait to experience the new version of the ride myself.
