Not gonna lie, I think this might be the worst change Pirates has ever had. One of the most mysterious and iconic moments turned into a shitty vignette that doesn’t even make sense with the rest of the narrative. This is the WDW Hatbox Ghost of changes, but worse somehow. Please put it back.

Wow. 1) it makes a mockery of an iconic atmospheric scene

2) it looks cheesy in a way that doesn't match the rest of the ride characters

3) weren't Disney *finally* getting away from projection faces after fixing Frozen?

4) this is them chasing/copying the way Universal did parts of Battle at the Ministry and Monsters Unchained...poorly. And those projection face animatronics weren't the best in their respective rides to begin with.

Lost Island has rotated another new character into the cast this year with ace pilot Avi taking Lumina's place as one of Udara's representatives alongside island rockstar Bardo.

Avi will apparently supervise spinning contests on Amara Aviators, the park's Skyfly ride, throughout the season with small prizes to be given out. Before meeting guests in person, she was one of the Udaran guide characters in the park app.

Disney Branded Television Unveils A First Look As Well New And Returning Cast Members For "Cars: Lightning Racers"

 Oh, yeah. Lightning's ready.....

Disney Branded Television and Variety have unveiled a first look to the upcoming Disney Television Animation preschool series "Cars: Lightning Racers". The announcement was made today as part of the several celebration events for the 20th anniversary of the Pixar Animation Studios film which got introduced to audiences in June, 2006.

Disney Branded Television unveiled returning voices for the new series as previously announced the series will have Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy reprising their roles as Lightning McQueen and Mater

Returning cast members include:

-Bonnie Hunt (Walt Disney Animation Studios "Zootopia" franchise) as Sally

-Jenifer Lewis (Walt Disney Animation Studios "Hercules") as Flo

-Guido Quaroni as Guido

-Lloyd Sherr (History Channel "Modern Marvels") as Fillmore

-Paul Dooley (PBS "The Electric Company") as Sarge

-Tony Shalhoub (Amazon Prime "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") as Luigi

-Cheech Marin ("Primos") as Ramon

-Bob Peterson (Pixar Animation Studios "Up") as Chick Hicks

Disney Branded Television has also unveiled some of the new cast members as well their respective characters. Leah Lewis (“Elemental”) and Yuri Lowenthal (“Marvel Rivals” video game) join the cast as Pipes and Miles, respectively. Sheryl Lee Ralph (“Abbott Elementary”) will also voice a new character, Ms. Blinker.

The series is produced by Disney Television Animation in association with Pixar Animation Studios. Travis Braun and Frank Montagna are on board to executive produce the series. Dana Starfield is the story editor, and Nathan Chew is the show’s supervising director.

"Cars: Lightning Racers" debuts is slated for a 2027 release on Disney Jr. and Disney+.

Walt Disney Imagineering Reveals First Song For "Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets" Ahead Of Track Reveal And Opening Date Thursday.

Walt Disney Imagineering is sharing big updates this week about Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios, including the ride's song list and opening date. 

In a post on its official Disney Parks Blog, Disney shared that the full song list for the attraction as well as the opening date will be revealed soon. Walt Disney Imagineering revealed that the first song will be a cover of the Blur song "Song 2".

The storyline for the attraction will have visitors visiting G-Force Records for a VIP tour of the recording studio. While there, they'll board a "very fast limousine" for a "twisting, turning and screamingly fun" trip across Hollywood to make it to the Electric Mayhem concert. Along the way, they will zip by Hollywood scenery and landmarks that have been given a Muppet twist. 

"Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets" is slated to open this summer at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Recycling the Magic got their hands on pitch documents related to the unbuilt Night Kingdom park, which was meant to be a late night counterpart to Animal Kingdom. Note how Tropical Americas was part of this concept's map.

And now, the Martin video I’ve been waiting all year for…

The next of my completely re edited EPCOT Center videos, the first in my Imagination trilogy, and another massive project.

Begin with the origins of the pavilion, from the EPCOT Arts Pavilion and Discovery Bay to the duel ride floor Imagination proposal. See how the pavilion developed, how the pavilion and ride were laid out and how the ride system worked, and how it all came together for opening – or not.

Next walk into the original Pavilion for a detailed look at the open atrium lobby complete with wall mural coverage. Board your ride vehicle and take a full, multi camera journey through the original attraction. Enhanced and cleaned up multiple angles show every detail. Each projection has had flicker minimised or eliminated. See each show scene in full, complete with a brand new stereo audio mix featuring more high quality and source audio than previously available.

After unload take the stars or the elevator up to the Imageworks for a full tour of the original interactive playground of the future. Then take the escalator down to the Magic Eye Theatre for a look at Makin’ Memories, Dreamfinders Chase as source quality, and then enter the main theatre for Magic Journeys in full – shot on a tripod with a polarising filter to minimise the duel image effect and with screen flicker greatly reduced. With a stereo source soundtrack.

After the movie ends, take a look around the fountain garden and camera store. Finally, see what changes were made to the pavilion, including the early 90s overhaul of The Imageworks and take a tour of version two of the upper floor.

Another huge labour of love. 88 minutes long.

It should be noted that in some places, Martin actually got Dreamfinder actor Ron Schneider to re-record lines for his audio mix.
