I’ve recently discovered R Lee Smith’s books and they’re aaaamazing. I SO recommend them if you’re into the human girl x non human dudes types of romances, her books are dark and steamy and well written!
The Land of the Beautiful DeadLast Hour of GannCottonwood
I was put off from reading Land of the Beautiful Dead because of the teeeerrible cover, but once I did start it I couldn’t get enough, so please give those books a chance!! hahaha(Fair warning though, the books are pretty dark and there are scenes of sexual violence, especially in Gann, if that’s something that makes you uncomfortable! I had no issues reading it but people have different tolerances)
Other than that, I’m sure you know about those but :
Alien VS Predator (the movie and the books... ok they’re not romance but in my heart? they are)
Warcraft movie (I’ve never played the games but man i love those orcs)
Hellboy (I GUESS? Ron Perlman’s hellboy doesn’t really get me going but hey)
Phantom of the Opera (I recommend the Royal Albert Hall version. the phantom is not technically a monster but in my mind it’s in the same category lol)
The Hades & Persephone myth (AO3 has some good stuff)
Radiance by Grace Draven (I wasn’t crazy about it but I know some people love it. The male love interest is basically a grey dude with fangs, and the romance is sweet)
Beauty and Rose Daughter are beauty and the beast retelling (beast doesn’t change back into a human at the end of Rose Daughter)
I read. A SHITTON of fallout fanfiction, because I love ghouls. I actually haven’t even finished Fallout 3 or played Fallout 4 haha. My favorites are all Charon/Lone Wanderer
