you're not very strict on your activity rule
we’re not actually wild about messages like this, either—mostly because they feel a little rude, and there’s generally a better way to say something, if it has to be said at all. that said, i have edited the rule to better reflect how things are run, so i hope that helps people! i am also going to elaborate a little on how we view activity here.
personally, i don’t think our approach to activity a bad thing (and i am not sure if this was a criticism, or just an observation that was perhaps worded a little brusquely, but i am going to take this as an opportunity to discuss how we do run it). in all honesty, we are, as a team, more concerned with our muns keeping in contact with us and keeping us in the loop about what’s going on than we are about making sure that character blogs are constantly active, and, in all honesty, that’s our prerogative as admins. sometimes this looks like a hiatus or semi-hiatus, in which case, anyone can see it on the main, but other times it’s a little more touch-and-go, because life throws people in the deep end, and we understand that. we strive to be understanding of our muns, and we reserve the right to our discretion when it comes to the activity of individual members, because our muns are really good at communication about their lives and things that could impede on their activity——and we always, always, put the well-being of a mun before their characters. there are some cases in which a discussion is necessary (and sometimes ends with a mun dropping a character) and we acknowledge that and have engaged in that before, but that’s really at our discretion and does not need to be publicised.
so——yeah. we aren’t very strict on our activity rule, but that’s because we have a wonderful group of muns whom we love and trust and keep in communication with us about what’s going on, and that’s what we consider important. activity checks do happen (and, in fact, one of our admins had been planning on doing one tonight prior to this message), especially to call out ourselves as admins, but we tend to do them less frequently in times when most people are quite busy, which is a time we’re in right now.
this wasn’t really a question, but i hope this reply helps you in some way anyhow——and if it’s a better understanding of how we run things, activity-wise, then i’m glad! if we can help with any questions and the like, then please, feel free to send them in! if i’ve sounded snappy, then i’m sorry, because while it is born out of a little indignation on behalf of us and our muns (due to the brusqueness of this ask), it is almost certainly exacerbated by how tired and busy i have been, and for that effect, i do apologise. (i would apologise for the excessive commas also, but honestly, by this point, it’s a lost cause.)
