“Girl. How do you still have a license?”
“ i’m constantly asking myself that question. ”
"I'm the worst driver. I drive slow so people get pissed off at me but I don't like going too fast especially if I've got my kids in the car."
“I can’t do that–I can’t bring it up. Just thinking about it depresses me and it’s my own fault that it happened… I just want things to be okay again… I miss my family.”
“Maybe it’ll adjust itself someday but if you don’t want to talk about you should try to show them you’re sorry. After all they are your kids and they love you even if they don’t want to. No one really hates their mother.”
"I try. I do it every single day and I just... I don't know."
“ this is like the third time i’ve been in a minor car wreck this year, obviously this is a sign from god that i shouldn’t be driving. ”
“Girl. How do you still have a license?”
“I’m afraid to ask, but how did that happen?”
“Closed my car door on it.”
“um…me too. what happened?”
“I closed it in my car door.”
“What happened?”
“I might have closed the car door on it.”
“Maybe you should just talk about that with them? I know I’m not the best person to take advice from but a honest conversation will probably be the best thing you could do right now. But it’ll be a huge step if you’ll forgive yourself because I guess if you can’t forgive yourself the others won’t be able to forgive you.” he told her. “I’m speaking from experience because I fucked up big, too.”
“I can’t do that--I can’t bring it up. Just thinking about it depresses me and it’s my own fault that it happened... I just want things to be okay again... I miss my family.”
“I’m one hundred percent certain that my phone wasn’t supposed to be able to do this,” she said, staring at her phone that was broken in half.
“There’s always something you can do better. But..well just make sure people notice that you want to change what you’ve done wrong. If they love you they’ll be able to forgive you. If you want to work out things you should forgive yourself though or it won’t work out.”
“It sucks... I don’t know what they think of me. The kids, I mean. I know what everyone else thinks of me, but what my babies think is more important, and I’m scared to death that they think the same thing as everyone else,” she said, twirling her hair around her finger. “I can’t forgive myself. I broke my family apart... I fucked up the one good thing I had going for me since I was in my prime, and I... I just... threw it all away, just like that. I can’t forgive myself for that, and I can’t ask anybody else to forgive me for it...”
“Nobody’s perfect. That sounds simple and everyone tells you that but it’s true. You do have your positive sides, I’m not agreeing with all the negative things you just said about yourself but you’re voice is just..wow, you are kind-hearted, you care about your children and I know that if you love someone you love them with your heart and soul.”
“I know no one’s perfect, but... it’d be nice to be as close to perfect as possible one of these days. My babies are my life... but I still feel like I could be a better mom, I just... don’t know how,” she shrugged. “Yeah, I do, but... somewhere along the line, I forgot to love and care for my husband and that’s the most unforgivable thing a wife can do aside from what else I did to him.”
“Don’t make yourself look bad, Ariana. You’re still hella sexy and the ponytail was always a part of you so it was okay to keep it that long.”
“I’m a pro at making myself look bad. Bad with hair, not the greatest mother even though I try to be, definitely not a good wife.”
“That’s such a shame. I don’t get why people think older women are not as attractive as younger women.”
“I mean, I’m short, and I’ve had three kids so I’m pudgier than I was before I got pregnant with Georgia. I’ve also had the same hairstyle for twenty years, I wore out the attractive factor when I turned thirty and still kept the ponytail.”
“ she always seems to put everything into, everything that i’m feeling. it may be her words but it’s like the story of my life. ”
“Right? It’s like she knows exactly what to say to make everything apply to everyone.”
“ maybe if i keep jhenè aiko’s album on repeat then i may turn into her ? ”
“Who knows, maybe it’ll be possible. She’s a dream.”
“ Well I’m pretty sure I burnt that mac and cheese.”
“You forgot to stir it, didn’t you?”
“Yes it is. I would never dare to lie about that. But people must tell you a lot how beautiful you actually are.”
“I heard it more when I was young.”
“am i adopted? are you my real mother?”
“You’re definitely not adopted and I am certainly your real mother. I even have the video to prove it.”
