TW: fear of miscarriage
I’ve been so paranoid that I’ve had a missed miscarriage. It’s all I think about. It doesn’t impact my ability to take care of my toddler, interact with others, or work but it’s on my mind 24/7. I don’t really talk to my husband about it because I don’t think he’ll get it. I’ve felt better this week, so instead of being logical and thinking “the placenta took over”, my automatic thought is “the baby passed away”. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Thursday, and I’m nervous. So nervous.
I’ve also felt really disconnected from this baby. I’m 10-11 weeks (11 weeks per LMO, 10+4 per ovulation) and I just feel... idk, weird. I’m not excited about this baby yet. Idk if I’m distancing myself in case I do miscarry or what. I haven’t bought anything, haven’t planned anything beyond adding to my Pinterest board, etc. I feel like a bad mom to this baby already. Today is a great example of that: toddler has croup and husband immediately gets sick and regresses into a weak baby whenever she does (it honestly pisses me off but I know he can’t help it). I keep forgetting I’m pregnant. I went to take out the trash and it was like 50 lbs (seriously, wtf?) and I had to remind myself that I can’t pick it up because I could hurt the baby. So I dragged that thing instead.
8+1
We saw the baby yesterday. I was so nervous that something would be wrong, but the doctor was excited and said everything looks great. It finally feels real now. Our toddler is going to be a big sister! 💜

The exhaustion is unreal.

We’ve known for a whole week and it feels like a life time.
I keep testing to make sure the line gets darker (it does). But I’m still nervous.

I’m 11 DPO and it’s there. It’s faint, but it’s there
I’m so excited and nervous
Cycle 2, CD 17
I took an ovulation test and plugged it into pre-mom (where was this app two years ago?!) and between the very blantent lines and the app, it was clear that I’m ovulating.
The problem? We have family staying with us right now.
We managed to sneak away for some BD. Now I’m in bed with my legs in the air, hoping this works.
Cycle 2, CD 1
Kind of bummed that cycle 1 for baby 2 was a bust. Obviously we will never be those people to get pregnant accidentally, but I was hopeful because we BD on ovulation day.
My husband was disappointed, but I pointed out that we only tried twice during the fertile period. For baby 1, we had tried six times during the fertile period. So... he needs to step it up a bit.
I wasn’t great about keeping up with the metformin, but this cycle was (only) 33 days long and ovulation was much more evident this time. So there’s hope.
Hi, it’s been awhile.
We officially started trying for baby #2 💕
Bad Cats.
OP, you fool. These are THE BEST CATS
We hit five months and are starting to self soothe and take an interest in food.
Time is going by so quickly. I love it and hate it all at the same time. I love watching her learn and grow. And how proud she is when she learns something new!!
My favorite of all time is when I come home from work, she smiles really big and gets excited to see me again, and then proceeds to smother me with her kisses and cuddles. 💜
I love her so much
✨"From the moment you hold your baby in your arms, you will never be the same. You might long for the person you were before, When you had freedom and time, And nothing in particular to worry about. You will know tiredness like you never knew it before, And days will run into days that are exactly the same, Full of feedings and burping, Nappy changes and crying, Whining and fighting, Naps or a lack of naps, It might seem like a never-ending cycle. But don’t forget … There is a last time for everything. There will come a time when you will feed your baby for the very last time. They will fall asleep on you after a long day And it will be the last time you ever hold your sleeping child. One day you will carry them on your hip then set them down, And never pick them up that way again. You will scrub their hair in the bath one night And from that day on they will want to bathe alone. They will hold your hand to cross the road, Then never reach for it again. They will creep into your room at midnight for cuddles, And it will be the last night you ever wake to this. You will read a final bedtime story and wipe your last dirty face. They will run to you with arms raised for the very last time. The thing is, you won’t even know it’s the last time So while you are living in these times, remember there are only so many of them and when they are gone, you will yearn for just one more day of them. For one last time.“ ✨-Andriana Campbell
