An exercise in describing flowers: part..1?

Pansy: A hybrid of utmost beauty. The heartsease comes in a multitude of colors, but it's universal features are it's darker inner petals, and ghoulish, almost defeated expression formed by thee aformentioned inner pigment. In the past, it was a noblefavorite, being introduced to the broader world by Lady Bennet, daughter of Lady Tankerville and her spouse around the early 19th century. In time since, it has spread it's ghastly roots across the seas and has adopted many an alias, such as the Flammola in Italy, or viola and violet, which can be used interchangeably in America. Of them all, a pansy is my personal favorite, though I haven't been successful in growing it because my cat ate it
