Well I guess this is hello...
It’s a form of shapeshifting. Like I can’t change into a dragon or a guinea pig, but I can change my appearance.
Oh! That is really cool. I wish I could do that.
"I’m not going anywhere any time soon," he chuckled, squeezing her tighter. While she drank her coffee, he finished his own one off before letting out a happy sigh. He didn’t remember being this happy in a long time. "You sound tired," he stated noticing her yawn.
"I am. Despite the coffee I am a tad sleepy. I think it is just because it is late. Do you wanna go back to my room and watch movies or something?" She asked, sitting up as she picked at her nails, biting on her lips slightly. She didn't know what this meant for them, but she didn't want them to part just yet tonight.
Yup it is a cat.
I love cats.
Well I guess this is hello...
It’s kind of a joke from my power. I have the ability to human morph so I’m kind of like a variable…X.
Oh! What does that mean? Human Morph?
A confused look plastered itself onto Dante’s face when he saw Mandy move her chair beside his but that was soon replaced with a content smile as he felt her head rest on the crook of his neck. “Coffee was definitely a good idea,” he said with a smile. He wrapped one arm around her and sighed happily.
"I am full of good ideas. Just stick around and you will see this." She giggled softly and scooted closer to him, grabbing her coffee she took a few last sips before kissing his cheek quickly, letting out a little yawn. Mandy decided that this was her happy place right then and there.
When she pulled back, his eyes fluttered and he was lost in thought. It wasn’t his first kiss or anything but this was so…different. He couldn’t explain it properly, it just felt…..not the same. He stared at his coffee cup for a long while before he shyly looked up at her while he nervously chewed his bottom lip. “So uh….coffee.”
Mandy let out a loud giggle when he spoke up, looking at him for a moment. He looked so cute, sitting there chewing his lip looking all nervous. She wasn't sure why. They had gotten the nerve wracking part over with. Scooting her chair next to his, she leaned against him, her head tucking in against the crook of his neck. "Yes, coffee for sure."
Internally he was screaming. Why did he do that!? That was probably the stupidest thing he’d ever done! Why would he ruin a great evening with a beautiful girl who seemed to actually enjoy spending time with him even though he was an awkward weirdo?! He kept thinknig stupid thoughts towards himself until he felt a par of lips meet his. When he realized who’s they were, he felt all the tension go away. ‘Tonight was a good night’ he thought to himself as he kissed back.
After a second she pulled away, her eyes wide once again at what she just did. Yeah boys have kissed her before, but on stupid dares when she was younger -- situations like that. Nothing like this though had ever happened to her. It felt like she was literally floating, like a spark had left a tingling sensation upon her lips. Biting down on her lower one she pulled it in and looked down at the table with a little giggle, her cheek bright pink.
When he felt her nose touch his, he just stared at her. He stopped listening to her and just stared at her perfect face, her perfect eyes, her perfect lips. He kissed her. For a second, it was pure bliss until the realization struck him. He was kissing her! He pulled back suddenly and stared at her, waiting for some of response.
Mandy didn't even realize she was being kissed until about a second in, and she felt like her heart literally skipped a beat. It was a second later that he pulled away, not even giving her a chance to respond. She let out a little breathe she didn't know she held in, looking at him for a moment her eyes slightly wide. When he was brave, she was brave. So she leaned back towards him and pressed her lips to his.
It doesn’t seem to make a difference, they act like they’re protecting me from something. As if that justifies everything.
What do you believe they are not telling you? I mean maybe they are trying to protect you, but if you feel very strongly about it you should just be open with them and tell them you don't want the protecting.
At the sound of her laugh, a grin broke out on Dante’s face. When she leaned towards him, he followed by doing the same so that they were almost nose to nose. “Well second place isn’t something to be ashamed of. In fact, I think you can take the title from me one day.”
Mandy leaned forward just a little more so that her nose was pressed against his with a giggle. She had her hands cupped over her coffee, holding back more laughter that was dying to escape at his comment. "Oh you think? Maybe I will. I do wanna be number one prettiest girl in the world one day. It is my life aspiration."
There’s nothing more disappointing than realize that everyone you should trust seems to hide things from you.
You should tell these people how you feel.
Dante watched Mandy take another sip of her drink and did the same. When he noticed her blush, he grinned a little to himself. It was a nice feeling to know that he has caused that. “Exactly and I’m the prettiest girl here!” He teased back with a wink.
Mandy couldn't help but let out a loud laugh, her hand clamping over her mouth. "Oh of course! That was a dumb question. You are the prettiest girl I have ever seen in my whole life." She joked, leaning forward towards him a little. "I am even a little jealous."
As they walked, one thing Dante definitely didn’t expect was the feeling of Mandy’s lips on his face. At first he was just surprised. He looked at her and then ran his finger where her lips touched before a grin formed on his face. He didn’t mention it but he was definitely in a better mood now. He sad opposite from her and took a sip of his own drink. “Sitting in Starbucks with a pretty girl, what more could I ask for?” He asked with a smile mirroring her own.
Mandy watched as he ran his finger along the spot where she kissed his face and couldn't help but giggle a little. It was such a small little thing, but to her extremely cute. Taking another sip of her coffee she felt a blush creep onto her cheeks and tried to play it off like it was just the warmth of the coffee, looking around the coffee shop. "Pretty girl? Where? Me you and that old guy over there are the only people here!" She teased, giving him a little grin.
Dante quickly followed her inside and sighed happily at the sudden rush of warmth. It wasn’t as if he didn’t like the cold. He was born and raised in New York, the cold was fine but he was usually better equipped for it . He tapped her nose again before nodded intently at her statement. “Seems defrosted to me,” he laughed before ordering his own drink. Once they got their drinks, he wrapped his arm around her and guided her along to find a seat. He was feeling bold.
Feeling his arm go around her she couldn't help but smile, biting her lip a little. Mandy liked it when he felt bold, because it made her feel it as well. When he was brave, she was brave. Leaning up she gave him a quick kiss just under his chin before she sat herself down in a chair, taking a sip of her coffee. "Mmmm, pumpkin spice. This is the life ain't it?" She took another sip, looking over at him with a big smile on her face.
He looked down at her hand rubbing his arm and gave he a small smile. It didn’t do a hole lot but he appreciated the sentiment. He supposed to was time to switch from fall clothes soon. “Well it definitely feels cold but it’s a nice cold,” he laughed. “Let’s go go go!” He exclaimed walking faster.
Mandy skipped a bit, pulling him along as she laughed. Once she got to the Starbucks she swung open the door, feeling the heat from inside hit them as they walked inside. "Ahhh yes, the defrosting of the nose." Pulling him closed against her she smiled up at him then lead them to the counter ordering her drink.
For someone who’d lived a rather lavish life, just walking out in the cold with a girl would’ve been a boring activity but for some reason Dante felt more content at this moment than he had for a long time. “I guess you’re right but I just wished I wore something that covers up a bit better,” he said looking down at his thin cardigan. “Is the tip of your nose cold?” he asked, reaching over to tap her nose.
Reaching up with her sleeve over her hand, she started to rub the boys arm a bit, knowing it wouldn't do much but she wanted to at least try and help him warm up a bit. Her sweater was warm enough to keep her cozy for the short walk to the coffee shop. When he tapped her nose she giggled and wiggled it again, nodding her head. "It is cold yes. I love it. Then when we get to Starbucks we will defrost and it will be lovely."
