And then I had the idea to recolour some of them to make the fim mane 6's g3 counterparts!

Hello, love your blog! I was wondering if you could help with the US My Pretty Pony logo from 1981. The copy on the box is ITC Bauhaus Demi, and the P, t, O and Y in the logo seem to be Bauhaus Bold with the M, e and N being pretty close. But the y and r don't match. I can't tell if it's fully custom, a mix of Bauhaus and something else, or if it's all one font that I couldn't find.

On a related note, the UK release (the logo is Charade and the copy is Robur if anyone was curious) was distributed by Pedigree whose 1981 logo font I can't find either. Their current logo is similar but not exact. I can't find a bold rounded font with that horizontal notch on the g.

If you could help with either of these I'd really appreciate it!

The original, pre-digital version of ITC Bauhaus had optional alternate versions of several letters, including r and y, but they got left out when it was digitized.

The Pedigree logo looks like a modified version of Kabel Black (1929) [Daylight Fonts · Fonts in Use · Identifont].

Drew this to celebrate finally completing my grail set of G1 Sunshine Ponies! Their color-changing hair and neon color palette call forth memories of resting under the warm sun on a boat.

I bought my first pony from the set (Mainsail) in 2014, and my last pony (Sand Digger) in 2024! It was a very slow, casual hunt.

some fun facts:

fluttershy is half unicorn here!! that's why she has the deer-like build and slightly long tail.

rarity is half horse

applejack is fully just a horse.

pinkie and rainbow are the only true ponies

their jobs (in the order shown in the lineup) are royal messenger, royal jester, royal menagerie keeper, royal tailor, royal orchard farmer and Queen Celestia's Most Specialest Student.

in this au, they all met due to working within the castle grounds.

in this au, celestia is queen, luna is still banished, and twilight is discouraged from making friends as it distracts her from her studies. she is celestia's heir and grew up in the castle.

they are all marekissers. lol
