brokenrollercoaster:
“we need to set you up with someone. what do you think?” she asked him. ryleigh rolled her eyes as he rambled on about work. she didn’t feel like her relationship needed to be the center of attention. “i’m happy, of course. i know but then i have to tell her everything. i’m just not ready. i want to keep it for myself a while longer. she’s going to make a big deal about me dating a man and not a woman.” she waved it off. ryleigh just wasn’t ready for that. “nico? oh, no. why is she like that?”
"ah, nope. no way, no. i've accepted - love sucks and isn't for me. it's fine, really. jo and i are just gonna be pathetic together. forever. til we're old and wrinkled." link'll say, delivering his concept for the future in such a deadpan form that almost feels like he believes it. "though, i have a feeling jo didn't really get the memo. she was telling me about her weird friendship / flirtationship / whatever it is with alex karev." he'll shrug. jokes aside, he is happy that jo has found someone good. she absolutely deserves happiness. "well, that's up to you, ry. i'll be there to support you if you decide to tell her, though." he understands his sister's worries far too much. after all, he too have been avoiding his mother and the big deal about amelia. "she loves nico, that's literally the only reason. hell, she might set me up with him if i give her the opportunity."
