The Love for Toy Story
Have you ever wondered why people over 20, like Toy Story? When Toy Story premiered, in 1995, those who saw it in the movies were between 4 and 8 years old, the same age Andy was in the movie. When the second part came out, in 1999, we were between 8 and 12 years old, in the same way, Andy was around that age, we grew up with him, Andy was us. Toy Story had a great impact that many of us started to take care and valued more our toys. Time passed, and in 2010 came the third movie, with ages between 18 and 25 years old, almost all of us noticed that movie theaters were more full of young adults than children, it was our movie, our characters. By that time almost all of us were about to enter or we were already at the University, like Andy. We saw the children around us asking who the cowboy was and who the astronaut was, and we were angry, we thought " They are Buzz and Woody Boy," we met Bonny, who didn’t know the true name of the cowboy, but she grabbed him. As the plot passed and we suffered and laughed, we reached the point where Andy is going to deliver the toys to Bonny, little by little and one by one he leaves them, while we cry, we turn to see the children next to us and they are happy, the toys have a new owner. There we realize everything ... We are Andy, the children are Bonny, Toy Story are the toys, and just when he delivers Woody, we know that now Our Movie, is now of those children, we give Toy Story to the new generation, so that they love it like us, and although we grew up, we are always going to love it. We are going to see Toy Story 4, and we know that now there will be more children who will meet Buzz and Woody our friends, the best movie of our childhood.

He finally gets to finish the trilogy he wanted to make.
My reaction to James Gunn being reinstated to direct ‘Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 : Awesome! Good! I'm really glad.
I have a problem with what he said, but I believe he also has a problem with it too. I believe in redemption, as the story of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is EXACTLY that.
It is atonement for being shitty. It is the story of Yondu trading in kids who died as a result. It is the story of pelvic sorcery Star-Lord and connecting with others. It is the story of Gamora redeeming her past. It is the story of crushing the tendencies of fathers who wished to pass on violence and domineering.
We cannot wish to change the way people are if we cancel them and do not allow room for them to do better. Redemption. Reform. We have to make room and encourage it.
The alternative is saying he will always be an asshole and driving him to profit off of preaching those ideals to other assholes who will never be redeemed.
It's good that James Gunn is back...absolutely
Pineapple is fine on pizza. In fact, it’s one of the better sweet toppings.
While it’s not authentic Italian, the problem is most places and people put pineapple on the pizza in awful ways.
You want good pineapple on pizza? Dice it up small and sprinkle it.
What did everyone think about that 1st episode of Titans?
Can’t decide which of these fan posters I love the most
#truth we don’t tell people enough what they mean to us. #lovehard #bebrave remember everyone doesn’t automatically know what your thinking or how they’ve made you feel
Well, that’s a first. This isn’t even a comic. It’s more fanart/mashup. Consider this a tribute to the awesome Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2!
I’M MARY POPPINS Y’ALL!
I’M MARY POPPINS Y’ALL!
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a gigantic disappointment that is arguably the worst film in the series. The film is at its best in its earliest stages, where director J.A. Bayona manages to stage some effective moments, but the film barely manages to interact with the moral question it sets up, trying to make the dinosaurs cuddly and sympathetic, and the film quickly shifts away from it. When it does, the film completely collapses: although moving off the island offers potential new story possibilities, almost half the film becomes a seemingly endless and tiresome run around the darkened corridors of an enormous mansion. It ends up feeling the one thing a Jurassic movie should never be, and that's small, and Bayona can't do much with the dreadful script, co-written by Trevorrow, that regularly has absurd lapses in logic. This feels like a stop-gap installment, teasing yet more sequels to come, forgetting to be entertaining in its own right; all the wonder and fun has been stripped from this ramshackle rollercoaster
My updated MCU ranking after seeing Infinity War.
#InfinityWar here I come! :D
I'm about to watch Avengers: Infinity War in about an hour. But before that, I thought I would share my MCU ranking as of now.
They tried to pull a fast one.
Godspeed, Vincent Adultman.
Godspeed...
Now that he's no longer directing the final film in the new Star Wars trilogy, it's important to reflect on Lucasfilm, and Hollywood-at-large's model for hiring directors for franchises, and how it should be fixed.
Interesting read...
BULLET POINTS:
Hollywood is either making $10 M movies or $150 M movies. Nothing in between. So trying to find experienced directors from mid-budget films is tough.
Female directors (or persons of color) in film are even harder to come by. So saying you're looking for experienced directors automatically sidelines them. And that line of thinking isn't working anyway...
Case in point: Lucasfilm now has a long history of firing its directors thanks to this system.
Meanwhile, TV is where the real quality is at.
Why not farm directors from there -- where the quality, experience, and diversity of gender and backgrounds are at their zenith. The well of talent is much deeper -- White, black, Asian, Hispanic, male, or female.
Considering that I'm generally more impressed with TV series right now over most big screen films, I'm inclined to agree.
