the entire premise of banking is that there are no consequences for fraud.

Like literally imagine getting a paycheck but you get to spend nine times the amount of your paycheck. That's what banks get every day. It's fraud. They call it "Fractional reserve banking," and it's just fraud. Straight up fraud. Like saying "We sell ketchup" and what they sell is actually pig's blood labeled as ketchup. Modern banking is fraud.
