Tobey Maguire was a great Peter Parker, but he didn't have the emotional range. He made the same face when he kissed MJ and when Uncle Ben died. He was also too awkward to be Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield was an awesome Spider-Man, but he was too cool to be Peter Parker. I love Andrew Garfield but the movies were awful.

Tom Holland was a great mix of Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Of the three, he fit into both roles the best.
