“I never had coconut. Is it good?”
“ It is! Of course, Coconut had been a staple of my old village throughout my time alive. “
“ I don’t know much about Pizza, but I hear that Pineapple is a ‘Topping’. Still have yet to hear about Coconut, however. “
So, was gonna get to replies and stuff today but…

I wonder how many people Manta Tala could crush. Hey, who wants their muse crushed by Manta Tala? Do something weird and if Tala sees you, maybe she’ll squish you.
EDIT;; I actually need to go to bed, but hey, listen-- If your muse does something that could possibly be interrupted by a Manta Ray, tag me up. I wanna draw more Manta Tala shenanans.
iammxana:
“Grandma, I’m…” Moana took a deep breath. “…I’m scared. Our island…”
She didn’t feel the need to finish her sentence. She knew that they both knew what would happen if the Heart wasn’t restored. Moana couldn’t stand the thought, and she desperately wanted to get back out there and find Maui, but… she couldn’t. Not here. Not in this place.
She embraced the hug, feeling how the touch was much cooler than it once would of been, while Tala was still alive. At least… At least she had her Grandma. It wasn’t as much of a comfort as she would of liked; as close as she was to Tala, she knew her people couldn’t survive on a dying island, and she knew she couldn’t save them as long as she was here.
“I don’t know what to do.”
She knew very well how that sentence was going to end. Tala gasped softly, pulling away ever so slightly to look down to her Granddaughter. She caressed her cheek, wiping away the tears as she quietly hushed. Her poor, dear Moana...
“ Moana, our island will find away. Your father is stubborn, but if push comes to shove he will make the right choice. “ She tried to believe her own words, but without the Heart nothing could really be done. Perhaps the Heart was still in their own world with the Ocean, perhaps the Ocean would find someone to bring Maui.
“ If not, one day you may be brought home and you may continue the journey to find Maui and Restore the Heart. Not all is lost, dear... “
I’M FUCKING DYING
I have a serious rp going on with @iammxana and then Gramma Tala is fucking Manta Slamming people on the side.

iammxana:
What was she doing here… Moana wanted to answer, she really did, but she couldn’t. This place was so unfamiliar and unforgiving to her, and she still didn’t fully understand why she was even in this strange place. Something about an experiment… But even without that confusion, her mind could barely process that this was really her Grandma in front of her.
She didn’t realize there were tears in her eyes until one spilled down her cheek, causing her to bring a hand up to her face and try to wipe it away.
“I-I really don’t know. Grandma, I… I didn’t get to restore the Heart yet. They took me away, they took me away here…” She didn’t want to explain that she wasn’t even sure if she’d be alive had she not been taken here; the storm that had hit her had been quite intense.
Moana’s heart sank as she thought about another fact she didn’t want to disclose; she didn’t know where the Heart was, not anymore. Either the ocean had it, or the scientists did, but either way, it was no longer in the girl’s possession. It wasn’t like she could restore the Heart while here anyways, but something about not even having it on her made her feel… empty. Like she had failed in some way, even though it wasn’t her fault.
“ They took you? “
Tala studied her granddaughter’s expression; the tears were a dead give away to one thing, but... There was definitely something else. Slowly Tala dirfted towards her, a hand reaching out to caress Moana’s cheek. Her precious, precious granddaughter... oh, how she hated to see her so upset.
With a soft sigh she reached out towards the girl, hands pulling her close. She glided her hand along her hair, a soft hush sounding past Tala’s lips. Moana was not able to restore the heart, and Tala could only guess... She had put so much pressure on her granddaughter to go on this mission, telling her to go with her dying breath. How could she have done such a thing to someone so young...?
“ It’s not your fault, Moana... You did your best to restore the Heart. “
iammxana:
Moana hadn’t been looking in the right direction to spot the apparition walking from the water, still moving her hand over the gentle waves and occasionally touching the sand. It felt peaceful, a reminder of home, even if the off-colored terrain did leave her feeling a little out of place.
When she heard the voice, however, that sweet and familiar voice, she jolted upright, pulling her hand out of the water and looking around rapidly to see where it had come from.
The girl couldn’t help it; Moana was staring, for what was definitely not the first time during her stay in this City. However, the emotions racing through her were a lot more powerful than simply confusion as she stared ahead at her Grandma.
“Grandma..?” Her breath was quiet, and she wasn’t sure if, on the chance that she wasn’t just seeing things, that Tala would even hear her. She was too afraid to take a breath, not wanting this to turn out to be fake, and her heart was beating rapidly.
It was her, it was really her.
Tala felt her chest tighten, despite her no longer having a beating heart. Her gaze softened, brows furrowing as she looked down to her granddaughter. She almost couldn’t believe it; Tala thought she would never see her again. She wished she could say that she could say that she never wanted to see her here, never wanted to see Moana separated from their Island and Family, but deep down she was so happy.
“ Oh, Moana... “
You’re a ways past the reef, ways away, she wanted to say, her throat not allowing her to. Her hands clenched in front of her chest, Tala being almost unsure of what to do with them.
“ What are you doing all the way here, my dear? “

After getting some directions from a passerby, Moana made her way to the beach. She sunk her toes into the sand as she got there, breathing in the air.
The colors of the place were indeed a bit strange, but well… the girl was glad to have something that was even sort of close to home. Her heart ached for Motunui right now.
It was nice to see that most people here were enjoying the beach though, and she walked to the water, sitting near it and petting it’s waves as it lapped on the shore gently. The ocean was a friend of hers, and even if this ocean was different, she wasn’t going to be mean to it.
This was her kind of place; the ocean was where she lived, where she made her home after guiding her granddaughter beyond the reef. When she was taken from it and brought to this strange place she had to admit that she, despite her usually calm and level headed behavior, felt bitterness. Not just because she was far from home, but because she could no longer watch over her darling throughout her journey.
She hoped, with all her heart, that Moana was safe...
She learned not to look back; perhaps this was a way for Tala to relive her life in some form. That is how she saw it, at least. Now, with the day’s events and her ‘play’, she only wished that Moana was there to experience it as well. Was that selfish? Her granddaughter had a special and important mission, after all...
She slowly swam back towards the shore, her form manifesting back into her former self to drift back to the shore. No water dripped from her figure as she walked, the water at her feet seeming to simply go through her. While she missed the ocean’s touch, she had to admit that this was rather convenient.
Then, something caught her eye. A figure she instantly recognized, though could not believe to be there. It could not be, could it?
“ ... Moana ...? “
Was she seeing things? She knew that she missed her darling granddaughter, but...
“ Is it truly you ...?

A certain old woman seems to be enjoying the beach, circling around in the water only to leap from the waves.
@wildberryoras
Such a short time in the city, many odd things to see. While her own home was filled with strange monsters, all these new... beings still found a way to be ‘strange’ to her. For example, here she was watching an strange man wearing what seemed to be nothing more than a loin cloth and shoulder pads.
Suppose there could be stranger, Tala thought to herself. She approached the man, seemingly floating due to lack of feet in her manifestation, with a smile across her face.
“Young man, would you help an old woman and tell her where she is? “
bunny-blanc:
“…interesting is a good way to put it,” she said, pausing for a moment before giving the woman a smile of her own. She seemed to be quite friendly and meant no harm, which was refreshing in this place.
“I’m Bunny Blanc,” she said, giving her a bow before righting herself again. “I assume my ears caught your attention?”
Tala chuckled softly; call it an Old Lady’s Instinct, or possibly a Grandmother’s Instinct, but she felt that this girl was a sweet young one. A soft chuckle sounded from within her as she folded an arm behind her back, taking weight off of her cane.
“ The ears were one of the things that caught my attention, yes. Your style of dress was another. “ While she had seen many, many odd things in the City as of recent, she still managed to be intrigued by even the slightest thing.
“ Ah, my name is Tala of Motunui. “
