"Ghosts are boring… they don’t bleed when you cut them… and they aren’t fun to kill…"
Be Not Afraid
Sorey blinked in surprise at how friendly the little one was, bounding over to him as he fought not to step back. Children didn’t really have a sense of boundaries around the likes of strangers, but that’s what made them charming. Reflexively offering a softer smile as he adjusted his demeanor to dealing with someone so much younger than he was, Sorey bent down to match her height, honesty in his body language as he exuded the essence of harmlessness.
"Oh, I see. You’ve been brought here, too.. I’m guessing you’re from a different world yourself?" At least she seemed to (?) have a good head on her shoulders, showing no fear as those large crimson optics locked onto his own. There had been no other children in his village growing up besides him and Mikleo, so to confront someone so much younger was quite a challenge. Poor girl… she’s without her family. That has to be a little lonely.. "Say, you don’t wanna worry your Papa, right? It’s dangerous here at nighttime.. Want me to show you to someplace where you can stay safe and warm?" It was just a simple yes or no offer, and he wouldn’t have minded bringing the girl to Alpha District just until morning, or even to his own hut in the meantime. It was better than letting her wander about or sleep on the streets. Sorey’s consciousness wouldn’t have allowed it anyway. Putting others above his own safety and well-being was just apart of his meddlesome nature, much to his own danger. "My name’s Sorey, by the way. What’s yours?"
[This whole 'different world' thing made little sense to her. What did make sense though was that he didn't immediately recognize what she was from the the bright red eyes. That meant he wasn't from a place that knew about cursed children. Or maybe he was one of the few that didn't care?
Instead of answering the question, the head fell to one side. Oh yeah, wasn't that thingy, person saying something like that? Too bad she didn't listen at all. There was no point in it at all. She didn't want to hear what they had to say, since it wasn't something she cared about.
Eyes continued to follow the movements with confusion as he still spoke. The words were almost hilarious. It made her want to laugh.]
"Papa won't worry. It's not that dangerous."
[Whether this place was dangerous or not, was debatable. The child hadn't been here long enought hat she could determine the safety factor of this place. Though one thing that was probably 'wrong' was that she never found these situations to be frightening. Any situation that a normal person should be scared of, she couldn't find the ability to feel fear. All these situations made her want to do was cut. But without a blade she couldn't cut. She couldn't have her 'fun' and that was depressing. He was too nice. And that made her want to cut him, to be honest.]
Family quality time || Kohina
It had been made clear to the masked man before that their powers had been somehow tampered with. If they had been able to not only affect him but also Kohina who was a cursed child, the scientists of this place were on a whole different level than the ones hailed as prodigies that he knew about.
Another thing he found out was that this place wasn’t Tokyo or anywhere near it, but something that would be incredible was that this wasn’t even the world they were from, if it wasn’t for the fact that this place didn’t have any sign of gastrea anywhere at all.
Kowning all of this, Kagetane had decided to have a bit of training with Kohina in order to find out how badly had they been altered and if this really made them unable to combat to their heart’s content.
<Alright, this place should do. No one seems to wander into this abandoned factory so we can avoid unwanted company.>
Sector 2. The place was running with so many industries that it seemed poorly inhabited and to people like them that came from a world that was harsh to survive in, this place wasn’t so bad even with all the polluted air around. If anything, it helped the purpose of them finding a deserted place to use for themselves.
[It was either that the situation hadn't fully set in for the child, or she didn't care. Child like 'wonder' had her running around the building inspecting the interior. The place was pretty, 'pretty' inthe same sense someone might find an infected rat 'pretty'. A bounce in her step caused the wood to go from the scraping sound, to clacking lightly. A light grip barely kept them in her hands. The girl stopped halfway across the building. Eyes directed at the ceiling. A frown coming to her lips soon, overturning the joy she felt. She knew they were here to train, but something else came to mind.
Turning on her heel the girl stared up at her father.]
"I want to cut someone!"
[The task was impossible, obviously, with nothing more than wooden weapons. Cheeks puffed out forming a pout. A wooden blade sadly wouldn't cut or kill. It wasn't fun, there had to be something that would allow her the fun she sought.
Shoulder's relaxed and the girl shifted her weight between one foot and the other. Her weapons remained loose at this time. She understood that she had to practice with her father. At least she can have some fun with that.]
(Hello all, with a new muse I'm looking for a lot of threads. I may be a little slow, but if you don't mind that feel free to like this post to interact with my newst little loli. It may end up a bit bloody, since Kohina is a murderous brat who finds killing and cutting people fun... I'll cap at 5-6 likes... if it gets that many.)
”Hey, hey! Little girl! Are you good with those swords!?" Exclaimed Luki as her own wooden blade appeared from the depths of an over-sized, right sleeve. Noki, the other twin, hung out a little ways in the back, but she smiled excitedly as well. Of course, neither of the twins had the right to call this girl a child, not when they were around the same age. "Play with us then!”
[Red eyes glowed with a hint of excitement at the words of the other girl. Eyes turned to the wooden sword and it's owner. There were two of them. Each seemed to possess their own weapon. Were they any good? They didn't seem like they were like her but that didn't mean they wouldn't be able to fight.]
"I'll play!"
[An eagerness entered her voice immediately as she freed the weapons.]
"But you might lose your heads~"
The Blade's Edge
It's been said that if she holds anything that has the length of a sword or blade, she is invincible.
[Wood was too fragile. The blades weren't preferable for cutting. Cutting was fun. Beating on people with blunted weapons wasn't so much fun. Fighting was fun though, as long as it was someone strong. The child was grateful to her housing in the city. The sector seemed to be full of people itching for a fight. The best part some of them didn't even seem to care if you were an eerie red eyed child. They'd play with her regardless of age or the fact she was a cursed child. Excitement only grew when they produced weapons when she fought with them.
She was weak. Strength and agility were not nearly their maximum potential. There were a few injuries that only spurred the girl on on the brutal beatings with her weapons. She recieved several injuries in her in the brutal attacks, but she seemed to ignore them. A grin spread wide over her lips as wood crashed down on the head of the man twice her size. Again and again it came down with a sickening crack each time. The more the sword came down the more chips of wood and blood splattered the girl's perfect blue dress adding to the injuries she had sustained.]
"I want to cut..."
[The voice pleaded into air as her head tilted back watching the night sky. Eyes glowed bright red as the injuries she sustained started heeling on their own.]
"That was fun!"
Be Not Afraid
As Sorey wandered the streets of Hive in hopes of finding someone else to barter supplies for, the sound of a solid object hitting metal caught his ear. It was a reverberating sound, followed by a voice laden with desperation. Curiosity piqued, he ventured away from the public crowds and pursued the noise, taking a few turns until he saw a small figure standing just short of a light post.
"Ah…"
It was a little girl, clutching a wooden sword that resembled the one Sorey had received as well, clutched tightly within her tiny hand. She looked distraught, those large, round eyes meeting Sorey’s in that moment, taking a step back in surprise. He hadn’t made any noise… perhaps, he couldn’t underestimate this youngster.
"Um, excuse me..?"
Steeling himself and trying to appear more relaxed, Sorey spoke again, clearly this time, so that the girl would hear him and know he meant no harm.
I can’t just ignore a child… I better ask her what’s wrong. "Papa" is what she said just now, right? So then…
"Are you lost? Did you get separated from your father?"
[The pair of swords were nearly dragging on the ground as her hands fell limp to her sides. Wood scrapped lightly at the ground. The child blinked at the stranger that suddenly spoke to her. Wide red eyes stared at the man. With light almost floating steps she practically bounced over to the man. The wooden swords placed safely away on her back and out of the way.
The child tilted her back and looked up at the man. Weak... He didn't look strong. Looks were deceiving, as she knew, but he didn't look strong. Not in the eyes of a child bred for war. If he wasn't strong... he wouldn't be fun.]
"Lost...?"
[The idea seemed a foreign concept to her. Was she lost? No, she didn't care about where she was or where she was going, so she wouldn't consider herself 'lost'. Separated was the better word in this situation. It didn't matter her location or the whereabouts of anyone other than her father. If he wasn't here then there would be no need to hold back from slaughtering any opponent.]
"I'm not lost... But Papa isn't here."
[What was she going to do? There was no trust to be held for strangers. There was no authority figure she was willing to obey. She didn't do thinking well, and without her father to say yes or no, she'd end up lashing out on impulse and killing everyone who was either too weak, or too annoying.]
Be Not Afraid
[When kidnapped, you were supposed to at least listen to your captors if they were willing to give you information on your surroundings. The question then became, when did children behave as they were supposed to? Instead of worrying about the explaination she just left the building, eyes looking up and down the wooden blade that she had in place of her actual weapons.
They'd break.
It would be a waste... The way she fought, wood... it wouldn't keep up. There was a loud thwack as she struck the first metal lamp post as hard as she could. Vibrations filled her arms and the wood held fast. At least for the first strike. Even an untrained eye could see the dent in the wooden blade.]
"Ah..."
[The child's gaze turned from the sword to looking around her. The scowl turned into confusion. One thing was off in this picture. Strange how in the lively, foreign city only one oddity came to mind.]
"Papa...?!"
[She sounded like a lost child as wide red eyes looked around for her father. There was no sight of him.]
