If you can’t handle people liking work that’s not yours than you have no business writing for a fandom. Show some fucking support for other people who are putting a ton of effort into their craft instead of getting catty about readers having a “fav” that isn’t you.
Literally this. Sending bait anon messages and answering blatantly shady anons about members of the fandom to stir up drama is stupid and makes you look like an asshole. It’s hard to look like a victim when you’re actively being aggressive.
People are actually doing this in 2019? I'm disgusted. If you can't be happy for others and be decent you need to reevaluate where you stand. It's perfectly normal to look at somebody more successful and experience a little jealousy but for Pete's sake handle those emotions responsibly. Use them as fuel to do/be better at your craft. Use them as motivation to be a better person.
