The Feather-Mania Vs. Cruelty-free Beauty

Feather hair-extensions, this rightly fashionable trend is a spectacular and quick method by which hair isn’t exposed to permanent changes, furthermore we get natural accessories by using these wonderful, easy, flexible, yet hard-wearing feathers. It doesn’t really happen that those who have a passion for tribal cultures and/or for bohemian, not average accessories made of natural materials, doesn’t fall into temptation by seeing such a feather-jewelry.

For me it all began at a tribal belly-dance lesson. First, I discovered those long and thin feather hair-extensions that can be applied by micro-rings to the hair, then I started directy to look for basic material and I realised that I’m in the middle of a real feather business! 😲

There are lots selling deciration feathers and through the medium of designers and craftsman, customers all over the World get their feather accessories, from the tiniest to those huge head-dresses and costumes, requiring an enormous amount of feathers. Speaking of myself…I can’t get enough of them. In the beginning I had different combinations of coloured feathers in my hair, then I began to manu(KA)facture feather-jewelry and before I could get bored of all the coloures, I discovered the hidden opportunities in the natural (no colour) feathers…After all these, I have to admit that I have no wonder why this “feather-mania” spreads so quickly all over the World.

🐦🦆🦃🐓🦅🦉 But what a price for all these⁉ ‘Cause the original owners of the feathers are not held properly all over the World, not to mention the fact that only at a few places are waiting for the birds to loose their feathers naturally. So, it can be confirmed that these natural basic materials, feathers, are stained with a lot of pain. I think that it’s totally unnecessary and cruel to torture animals for some fashion craze…That’s why I only procure cruelty-free materials in order to make my accessories, as I considere it very important that no one get’s hurt because of our “mania” 😊.

Unfortunately though not surpriseingly the price of cruelty-free feathers are much higher than the “traditional” ones, since they are not being collected en-gros by being plucked and pulled, but they are naturally molted feathers being handcollected piece by piece 🤲. So even in this case less is more: maybe we’ll get less feathers but we will take better care of them and the feeling that no pain is stained with them will compensate for the amount 😉.

So think it over, get prettier- and live CONSCIOUSLY! Don’t forget that every single bargain is also a vote for that World you would like to live in: so let’s support CRUELTY-FREE and SUSTAINABLE fashion!
