Vallilan Panimo x Man Yau
A small note from Yau: “For the final edition, created and photographed by Maria Tasula, I asked her to capture the feeling of intimacy. Not precisely a sexual intimacy nor a connection between two human beings but rather the moment where one sees something, be it a leaf in a tree, moss on the ground, sweat on the body, anyways something that one sees as a target that awakens her own desire to create. I guess you could describe it as the artist in process, following her intentional intuition, the intimate collaboration with the surroundings.“

Vallilan Panimo X Man
In the second part of Vallilan Panimo X Man Yau collaboration, the artist’s portrait is inspired by the origin of the product Kyyneleet. The beer, an english pale ale specially brewed for rapper Eevil Stöö is promoted with mystical symbols and a portrait of the artist. Vallilan Panimo X Man Yau
We collaborated with sculptor Man Yau to see what happens when we combine the craft of beer with the craft of an artist. After all our practices have a lot in common; we both go through a lenghty process of coming up with the ultimate product to evoke the desired emotions. The outcome is a series of photographs influenced by the beer of Vallilan Panimo.

Installation view from the gallery Sinne.
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out Oct 14th-29th 2017 Johannes Ekholm (script and directing) Man Yau (installation) 111X (music) There Is A Light That Never Goes Out is a radio play installation with a road movie atmosphere produced by Sinne. The work brings together text, music, theatre and installation art. In a undefined but close future Finland is at a breaking point. In the aftermath of a natural disaster a civil war breaks out. Organised and violent riots are spreading nation wide. We are dropped into the very epicenter of the events and we follow the Task-rabbit courier Victoria who during a job runs into Guy, a small time criminal who has unfinished business with the baltic mafia. Together they decide to escape and during their journey they meet many interesting and friendly people. In the midst of the catastrophe everybody is helping each other out. When there is nothing more to lose there is room for dreaming.
