Okay from what I can remember (based on what I wanted to write)
Veronica and Bea play a game of truth or drink. It’s sexually charged with Veronica admitting she has feelings for Bea and they end up making out and almost have sex but Bea ends up saying Poppy’s name while in bed which puts Veronica off. One of Veronica and Poppy’s friends (some guy from the football team) catches them in bed together and records a video but they don’t notice.
Bea feels guilty since she’s still hurt over Poppy and Veronica is her best friend.
On Monday, Poppy, Veronica and Chloe are sitting together for lunch and Bea is with some of the girls from the volleyball team since they started being nice to her since the party. Bea hasn’t spoken to Veronica since. The guy who took the video basically ends up showing Poppy and the girls and Poppy and Veronica get into a huge argument and are about to fight until Bea drags Veronica away and everyone is confused as to why Poppy got so mad over that but most of them chalk it up to Poppy being a classist bitch.
Bea and Carter become closer and he starts to support her a little more because it must’ve been tough seeing Poppy and Veronica fight because of her.
Poppy is super depressed over the next couple of days and she skips school. Her dad notices and they end up getting into a huge argument with Poppy storming out. After a few hours she’s not picking up her phone so he starts to get worried and then gets mad at the idea that she’s with Bea so he storms over to Bea’s house.
As he arrives he sees the house is a mess through the window. I’m not sure if I wrote about this yet but Bea’s sister gets taken away from her and has to live with a family member since Bea cannot financially support her and Bea is already 18 so an adult so she doesn’t get taken. Poppy’s dad Hayden knocks on the door and Bea opens it and is surprised but then angry. He demands that Poppy comes out but Bea is confused because she’s not there. Bea demands that she’ll help look for Poppy and they’re in a car together and driving around town trying to find her. While in the car they have a talk where he apologises for her mother’s death and Bea practically screams at him for ruining her relationship. Hayden doesn’t apologise for that but he apologises for how he mistreated Bea. He disliked Bea because in the past he had an affair with her mom (but it was once when the girls were young) and on the day Poppy’s mom found out, after Bea’s mom told her, she got into the car accident and died (I think that was the story I went with her for death I can’t remember).
Bea points out the hypocrisy of him committing adultery while berating Poppy for being gay. Bea has an idea to look for Poppy at the park and she was right she’s there. Bea goes to speak with her while Hayden watches them from the car. He doesn’t know what they’re saying but feels a slight pang of shame and regret when he sees how Poppy is around Bea.
Poppy is angry at Bea and tells her to go away but Bea sits on the swing next to hers and they sit there in silence for a while. Bea breaks the silence and apologises but Poppy cries and says she can’t be mad since they were broken up so she could technically kiss anyone she wanted but she’s heartbroken it had to be Veronica. Bea tells Poppy they stopped because she accidentally said her name while they were making out and that makes Poppy feel better. They end up talking and Poppy calms down enough to agree to go back home but there’s still a huge chasm between the girls in terms of their relationship. Once they get into the car both girls sit in the back and it’s just silence the entire ride even after they drop off Bea. The only time Poppy and her dad speak is just her dad apologising as they arrive at the house and wishing Poppy could make good choices unlike him. Poppy says Bea was the best choice she ever made and walks into the house.
Veronica ends up at Bea’s house a few days later and apologises to Bea. She says that she feels like she took advantage of Bea’s heartbreak and that she did always like her but she shouldn’t have tried flirting with her or kissing her. Bea forgives her and asks about Poppy but Veronica admits they haven’t spoken at all. Chloe has chosen to stay by Poppy’s side since she knows Poppy is isolating herself. Things try and go back to normal and Poppy and Bea are cordial with each other. Bea is still heartbroken over her mom. I wasn’t sure if I should kill off AJ or not because I feel like that would be too much death but I also wanted to explore gang violence. But since Bea has had too much heartbreak I’ll let him live.
AJ will apologise to Bea and he will give up being in the gang and tell Bea that he will really work hard and Bea says she won’t believe him until she sees real change. But since Bea doesn’t have her sister and AJ is like a brother she doesn’t want to be too mad at him.
Things skip to prom. Poppy didn’t want to go but Chloe convinces her and Veronica shows up to get ready with the girls. Poppy and Veronica talk it out and forgive each other. Bea also finds out she got a huge scholarship for college and is really happy about that. Also a few weeks before prom her dad showed up and said that he wants to help and agrees to adopt Bea’s sister so that legally she can be his and Bea can visit anytime she wants. Bea also makes the decision to sell their family home once she gets to college because she wants to start fresh.
At prom Poppy and Bea see each other but they don’t dance together or really talk. They announce prom king and queen and of course Poppy and Carter win. But since Carter has been hanging out with Bea more he pulls her from the audience and says she should dance with Poppy because he had a conversation with Poppy at the prom earlier and realised that Poppy still madly in love with Bea. They dance and kiss in front of everyone and everyone is shocked but Poppy doesn’t care.
Zoey says that she’s going to community college because she wants to transfer into a better college and study law. Bea is packing for college and finally has a seller for the house. Poppy and her dad have a big talk, he can see that Poppy really loves Bea and ultimately agrees to be a better father especially after his talk with Bea that day Poppy went missing. He doesn’t want to lose his daughter. He’s still uncomfortable with her being gay but he’s trying. Poppy and Bea finally have the big talk since they didn’t after Prom (but they did have sex in a hotel room the night of). Both agree to rekindle their relationship but Poppy promises to Bea that she’ll be much better and that she won’t ever let anything ever get in the way. Not even if the earth went on fire or the stars didn’t agree. Both girls go to NY to attend their colleges and live happily ever after.
