Theatre kid Ted is already canon to me this is perfect. You know he was soooo bitter about not getting a bigger role. He definitely auditioned for Prince Eric. Back then he would have accepted playing Flounder gracefully but current Ted is still mentally throwing a tantrum over it

Oh absolutely. Iirc in the fic he was like the youngest kid in the cast so he got the baby part. But he definitely still cried to his mum about not getting the lead

Hatchet Town is such an interesting song. Aside from being a banger, it suddenly shifts the focus of the show from the teenagers up to the adults. And they're acting so much less rationally than the kids are.

Idk, I just thing it's such a great insight into hatchetfield as a town

YEAH. I have so many thoughts about all of the weird implications of the lyrics. Not just the way they all shift the blame but even the rumours that are being made up.

"There's a man on the loose and he's got a gun" but neither of the kids were shot.

"Careful or you folks will end up a cannibal's plate" but of the bodies found they both still have all their parts (albeit in pieces in Max's case)

None of the assumptions make any sense! It's such a good portrayal of the mass panic and the desperate self preservation.

None of them seem to actually care about the murders beyond what it could mean for themselves - no one is mourning the kids!

It's such a good song I'm so normal about it
