But Art Scuffle made me want to write again. I've been thinking about Ryoma and Scarlet a lot over the last many many years, and maybe it's time to write some of that down? hahaha
Anyway here's the first thing:

It's an incredibly self-indulgent Ryoma x Scarlet S-Support scene that I thought was gonna be 2000 words but ended up being almost 5000 lol
It incorporates a lot of how I view the characters, and the ship in general.

I love art nouveau, especially Mucha's works. I picked Bride specifically because it's so pretty, and it already has an associated flower in her bouquet (blue tweedia = peace & trust)
Ryoma x Scarlet pieces I made for #FEArtScuffle. For Rarepair Rally day, I drew RyoScar for everyone else who had them on their wishlist (there's 4 other people this year, yay!)
I picked 1 tag from each person's list and went from there:
Ballroom dancing: I don't think Hoshido has ballroom dancing, but what if they were invited to a ball in Nohr
Pirate AU: any excuse I have to draw pirate alts I will take, haha
Fighting back-to-back: I love that they have each other's backs
Cooking together: I imagine Ryoma is a good cook and likes doing it (also he's good at cutting things 'cause he handles knives like swords)

Both of their names mean dawn/daybreak, to go with Shiro's JP name of Shinonome, which also means daybreak. As a bonus, both of their names have "Aka" in it, which means "red", as a reference to Scarlet.
Fraternal twins: older sister - younger brother. They're 4 years younger than Shiro.
