alicent crossed blackwater bay and a blockade to see rhaenyra in the middle of the night. now rhaenyra is coming to see alicent at all hours of the day and night despite having a million other things to do. you couldn't keep them away from each other if you chained them on opposite sides of the world.

all of their interactions are a bit awkward. rhaenyra feels guilty for turning alicent down during one of her most vulnerable moments and is trying to regain her trust again. alicent is still thinking about the warm way rhaenyra looked at her when she said "you speak as if from a distant dream" and is bitter about the way she led her on, making her think rhaenyra would take her offer because they were both reliving the same memory from their childhood. and alicent is so jealous that no matter what she does, rhaenyra keeps choosing something or someone else over her

i believe rhaenicent works best when you take it as canon that they messed around as teenagers. i think their connection is so much more compelling when you think of their relationship as foundational to their sexual identity as people, especially for alicent, who has spun in comphet hell her whole life.
