CIARÁN HINDS in The Family Plan (2023)
The job is to not shortchange anybody. But no actor ever really knows what audiences get from what they do. You try to work, with the director and your fellow actors, to get somewhere, but other people are the judge of whether you hit that note right. That's why sometimes you say yes to parts like this, even if you're unsure. You're unsure about much of what you do. Sometimes people will say to me 'Why do you always play bad men?' [points to face] It's the face!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CIARÁN HINDS!

Set against the beautiful Irish backdrop; this movie about payback and revenge is a slow burner... but the pay-off at the end was worth it.

The best "Persuasion" ever!
Someone uploaded the entire movie!!
This adaptations is AMAZING! The script perfectly captures the novel! The actors perfectly capture the characters! The period costumes, hair, setting, all fantastic and accurate! The characters act as they would have in that period, with the customs and courtesies their society would have expected, instead of modern characters dropped idiosyncratically into 1815.
This was shortly after new cinematic technology allowed scenes to be filmed in only candlelight, so we get to see how it would have looked then. The quiet pace is how the period would have felt; no quick cuts and ridiculous drone shots.
OMG, I love this adaptation so much! I will accept no other!
If you want to study screenwriting, acting, and period costumes/sets, this is perfect.
Ciarán Hinds & Emma Richler as Abel Mason & Alice in The Man Who Cried / kiss
We (presumably) know that Crozier had the Inuit nickname Aglooka, or Aglukaq, which means "quick-stepping". This nickname appears in the series, which is how Francis introduces himself to Silna. But it turns out that Franklin also had his own name among the Inuit people - his name was Tulugaq - "raven". That's curious. And that's why I have made such a collage.
