“my bonnie lies over the ocean, my bonnie lies over the sea,”
are we talking about the same body of water here, which is weird, or different bodies of water, which is even weirder
this makes more sense if you assume both are the same body of water but the time between the statements is about 50 million years
you’re right, that’s significantly less weird
toasthaste said: maybe there’s more than one bonnie

A hypothesized geography.
i bless the bonnie over africa
The bonnie is in geosychronous orbit, thus over all the Earth’s bodies of water
the bonnie is merely moving very fast, perhaps at hypersonic velocity, relative to the singer
my bonnie lies over the ocean
my bonnie’s exceeding mach 3
I sold my beautiful Bonnie to pay off my ex's stupid debt. My Bonnie lies over the ... highway?
We laugh or we cry.

How to Drink Water When There Is Wine
by Barbara Kingsolver
How to stay at this desk when the sun is barefooting cartwheels over the grass —
How to step carefully on the path that begs for the fleet unfettered gait of a deer —
How to go home again when the wood thrush is promising the drunk liquid bliss of dusk —
How to resist the kiss, the body forbidden that plucks the long vibrating string of want —
How to drink water when there is wine —
Once I knew all these brick-shaped things, and how they protract the striving and virtuous life.
Now I have lived long and I know better.
Advice to myself #2: Resistance by Louise Erdrich
Ride or Die depicting a whole hostel of women utilizing social media and interpersonal connections to track down a man because they believe Debbie has been wronged by her ex-husband is everything to me.
Like yessss, leverage the bonds between women. Show off why women were specifically recruited for the CIA. Utilize the “every girl is best friends in the club bathroom” trope to help an assassin.

In screenwriting class tonight we did a practice exercise and I wrote my first ever little "scene" and it was BAD and I SHARED it with the class for teacher feedback and that was awesome! so cringe! I love it! Do things badly, yessssss!
