Pink Floyd? Talking Heads?? Phish?! Three of my favorite bands, especially Talking Heads who I am completely obsessed with. Last night at the Brooklyn Bowl I had the opportunity to see Pink Talking Fish, a tribute/jam band fusion of all three of these bands. Some incredible music played by some great musicians. I urge everyone to check them out. To make things even better, the opener was Brass Against the Machine. Picture a New Orleans style brass band, playing Rage Against the Machine and other similar music, fronted by an incredible female lead singer. They’ve made a new fan out of me!

This was easily one of my favorite shows to be on hand taking photos. As always, the Brooklyn Bowl is one of my favorite spots as it is, but this time I had the opportunity to take pictures for this group of talented musicians. Besides being a great musician, Oteil Burbridge is most famous for previously playing with the Allman Brothers and currently playing alongside Bob Weir and John Mayer with Dead & Company. Melvin Seals, on the keys, previously played alongside Jerry Garcia! This was a great show filled with some original songs and lots of great covers, especially the Dead and Garcia’s catalogue.
